Re: RB room post Gainwell

For nostalgia, I watched Gainwell highlight reel from last season. Making guys miss, acceleration, hands, he was good last year. Warren and Gainwell are similar and productive. Just saw we signed Rico Dowdle. Gainwell 2025: https://youtube.com/watch?v=w4JuywWPf1g Warren 2025: https://youtube.com/wat...

Dean is one of the better corners in the league. This is a great signing. And the Steelers won’t be hindered by the Austin/Tomlin defensive schemes.

Re: Fuck You Haters!! Volume III

I root for a Steelers win every game, regardless of who the coach is. Having said that, that TD call on Likely was ridiculous and I hate to win that way. And yes, Jesse James also was a catch. But on this Likely play, control the ball, two feet down. If that call was against us, we would rightly fee...

Re: Broncos 4th quarter or Ohtani's Game 4?

What Ohtani did will never be repeated, because Pitchers don’t hit anymore and even when they did they weren’t hitting 3 home runs in a playoff game, combined with 6 shutout innings to close out the NLCS. That’s the best single game MLB performance in history. Ohtani is like Babe Ruth in that he is ...

Re: Low Watt is one useless motherfucker

The issue with Watt is the decision to make him basically the highest paid defensive player in history. 41 million a year, 2.4 million a game is way too much for any player. Watt has 112 sacks in 8.5 seasons which is HOF numbers. In the NFL, they pay players for what they did in the past, when they ...

Re: Kaleb Johnson

Kaleb Johnson was a strong and fast RB in college with a good cut and acceleration. Not knowing the new Kickoff rules, has nothing to do with his RB skill set. What a big runner needs is lots of carries and reps, to get rhythm. That’s what Skat is getting with the Giants.

Re: Kaleb Johnson

Kaleb was a very good RB in college. Whether that translates to the pros remains to be seen.

But the kickoff mistake was not related to RB skill set. It was either not knowing the new rules or forgetting the new rules. Kickoff return is a different skill set.

Re: Door slammers Vikings Game

The Steelers offense averages 263.5 yards per game. The Steelers defense allows 382.5 yards per game. The Steelers are 3-1. No doubt yards don’t matter as much as points and Steelers are winning Turnovers and games. But negative 120 yard deficit teams just don’t usually win games. That’s some Wizard...

Re: Ok this Rodgers BS

W&M, Fields is gone now, so it’s water under the bridge, but he was benched after a win at 4-2. He had a 94 rating and was learning on the fly. His running ability is a serious weapon, and he has a strong arm. Even if you are right, Fields is gone now. We can agree that the Russell Wilson experiment...

Re: Ok this Rodgers BS

I never wanted 41 year old Aaron Rodgers. He turns 42 in December. It’s a fine age to be a suburban dad or a travelling fool, but a terrible age to be an NFL QB. Tomlin left the path of reason when he benched Justin Fields, 25 year old running QB, just starting to win games and find his groove. We g...

One thing I like about Howard, is he was considered a running QB before he established himself as a passing QB. I was disappointed to lose Fields for his dual abilities.

Remember both Bradshaw and Ben were mobile QBs coming out of college, and difficult to bring down in the pocket.

Will Howard in the 6th round is a steal. This guy is smart, mobile and has a capable arm. He has as much chance to succeed as anyone. 1st round QBs are a roll of the dice anyway.

I watched a fair number of CU games this year and Shedeur can play. He’s football smart, mobile, accurate, clutch. Seems more grounded than his Dad, who is the real diva.

Steelers just passed on Sanders in third round so that’s a wrap.

My honest opinion is we should have moneyed up for Justin Fields. I think his best football was ahead of him in Pittsburgh. Can’t say whether it will happen in New York. Probably not, it’s the Jets. Frankly, I never wanted to bench Fields. If he played a whole season, we would have a better idea of ...

Fields did a lot of good things during his short stint as starter. He's 25, coachable, humble, a great teammate, loves Russell Wilson and wants to learn from hi...

Re: Russell Wilson Turns the Steelers Into A True Contender

Russ is definitely more experienced and he throws a “more catchable” ball, with less velocity, more arc. But I’m going to wait a couple more weeks because that catchable ball can go both ways. We saw Russ underthrow Pickens on a few balls and Pickens used his ability to make catches. But that won’t ...

Defenses will key on Pickens when the Steelers have little threat at WR 2 and 3. If Pickens gets hurt, we are done. Someone has to emerge from Roman, Jefferson, Austin, Patterson (WR/RB), Miller or we are in big trouble. DJ may be sorely missed.

Mason Rudolph is the guy I thought we should keep not Kenny. Mason turned around a lost season and got us to the playoffs. In 4 regular season games, Rudolph had a QB rating off 118.0 which led the league, 3 TD, 0 int. In one playoff game, he threw for 229 yds, 2 TD, 1 int. Bottom line, Mason played too well for the Steelers to keep him. We require far more mediocrity than that. https://youtube.com/watch?v=xpFX7o56cV8
