Re: So now the draft is a reason to shut schools

I've always said glorified babysitters. That's what the results indicate. No evidence of "good teachers" in test scores. I don't think it will be very long before students get at least 75% of their learning from AI. So, you know, keep getting every extra day off you can.....because soon you'll have...

Hey, that extra 2mill will help him feed his family! Dang, with food prices up, I wish I had an extra 2 million to feed my family. With that kind of coin, I could raise a family of sumo wrestlers!

Re: Seahawks up for Sale

Very smart strategy to be honest with you. If they win, the price goes up as the new owner will instantly have money coming in from the Super Bowl winner for the next couple years. Keep the band together and keep making deep run, and the new owner will do just fine!

TWatt the jogger not going to know what to do with an actual game plan I'd give it about 75% that TJ requests a trade after seeing what they want him to do in the new defensive scheme. If by chance he requests a trade, I tell him he needs to rework his contract to make it more attractive to other t...

Re: A take on McCarthy

Yeah, and he is bringing former coaches that worked with him in. He's not looking at new up and coming guys. He, just like Tomlin, is stuck in the past. Our new DC is the Raider's DC, can't remember his name (just saw it on the news). Yeah, we get a coordinator that works for the worst organization ...

Re: A take on McCarthy

Just read the scouting report on Simpson. Not sure he's going to turn out to be anything special. He has a quick mind but once DC's got some film of him, his season crumbled! Only 15 college starts puts him in the same league as Mitch Trubisky and Anthony Richardson - not the greatest company!

Accept Rooney stated he had no intention of replacing Tomlin so in Rooney’s mind there isn’t 20 years of anything that needs to be fixed…. ….the McCarthy hire is to keep the status quo McCarthy Keeping the seat warm for a rookie HC is not Art’s strategy it’s a happenstance This is pretty much it fo...

A thought about Tomlins legacy.

As I was out snowblowing all day, I was thinking and it dawned on me how much of a hypocrite Tomlin might have been. So, if the story about a baby is true, rumors are that he paid the girl off to go away, correct? Well, Tomlin has always had this persona of being like a dad to some of the players, a...

Re: Conference Championship Sunday Thread

A part of me would love to see NE win it all! NE did a mini rebuild and are back to super bowls while the Steelers play patty cake every year. Maybe Art would get a clue that having a couple losing season would actually help the team.

Edit: And youth on D can take you a long way!

I know conditions suck, but Denver has barely thrown the ball down field. 90% of their passes been behind the line of scrimmage. . Now, they throw way down field and it gets picked. They just lost!

I don’t like this kicking first strategy in the playoffs. If both teams get a stop, you stand to allow the opponent 2 possessions to your 1. Plus with the new kickoff rules, even on a 3 and out the second team getting the is backed up with worse field position. Yeah but if the first team scores you...

Re: I thought teams would kill for Tomlin

I honestly don't think Tomlin will ever coach a team again. He will be completely exposed for the dufus he is and it will be a wake up call that the dude was never really any good - he just always got bailed out by Ben most years and got really lucky the others. It's difficult to fix dumb and lazy!

Klint Kubiak w/ Scheelhause as OC for me. Let the two genius minds meld together to create an O that easily scores 40+ points a game and possesses the ball for 45 minutes a game. If they can do that, who gives a shit about a defense!

Re: Tomlin draft comp

My understanding is that Steelers will only be owed draft comp if Tomlin is coaching for a team in 2026, if that's the case, lets hope the Bills can McDermott, I think the opportunity to coach the Bills would peak Tomlin's interest, since it's pretty much a playoff ready team with a top QB. That wo...

Well, for a good start, Magic Danny Boy played the game at a college level, so I'm pretty sure he may know a lot more than Dunce. Insider info says he hated Tomlinships. He wants to build the team and win real championships, unlike Dunce. So, you tell me how that is going to be a bad thing. Hell, he...

I thought that play where cooks was in the end zone was pass interference. The dude had ahold of his arm the last 15 yards of the play. That would have set the Bills up for the touchdown instead of the 3 they had to take.

Yeah, over threw many and under three that last important one. Cooks had two steps but basically had to stop to try and catch it

I want to like Howard. He's gritty. He's a competitor. He has a short memory. But, his arm lacks some zip to me. I'm just worried he won't be able to get it through NFL windows.
