Re: A Aron signing. Per Schefter
Steeldrama One reason the NFL is crappy at developing young QBs is that there's widespread fear of being bad while your QB learns the ropes. It's the same as Head Coaches. Most are recycled mediocre choices who appear to be less risky than hiring a potential superstar. We have now achieved the fran...

Re: Possible leak of total schedule
This looks like a really tough schedule. If Rodgers is here I see anywhere from 6-11 to 10-7. I'm like alot of others who is just so happy Tomlin is gone. Not overly excited about the McCarthy hire but I'll wait and see. Particularly tough late...and once again, both ravens games in December and Ja...

They signed a big name in free agency, traded up for a WR in Rd 2, and drafted a RB who is probably a more dangerous slot receiver right now than Wilson, so I'm not sure about your assessment of Wilson's situation.steelmann58 wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2026 7:06 pmThey didn’t go WR because they believed Wilson was going to be the guy

Drama bringing the truth.. I read it and didn't have a thing to add.. If I can watch a game and think "we lost but we were trying the right things" instead of losing and listening to ex Patriots laughing their assess off at our lack of invention and total predictabilty, I am going to be overjoyed. ...

Re: Possible leak of total schedule
I expect them to be the most toothless 9-8 team in the league. That's where I am. BAL isn't what they used to be, and Burrow is always hurt (unfortunately probably not for that first game). Only reason I think NHALS ends is because McCarthy won't play not to lose. We'll probably be the sort of team...

Re: Some Random Thoughts
Slow time of year in football world what with the draft in the rear view mirror. Some Random Thoughts: • Read a Depot blurb this morning about how Mike McCarthy being MUCH more hands on than his predecessor, Mike Tomlin based on some VERY early observations from the oh-so in the know beat writers. ...

Zonnon last night, Koivunen, Broz and Ilyin in the Bears series... Murashov with the SO to start the new series, big, athletic, talented, but gave up some juicy rebounds last series. Some interesting prospects on their way up the pipeline. Now some defensive stockpiling, please. Read earlier today ...

Technical Issues—Hope to resolve today
I had become aware of the issues with poor board performance, and I will have time this afternoon to work with tech-support and hopefully get it worked out right away. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: Some Random Thoughts
What exactly makes McCarthy a "QB whisperer"? He inherited Favre. Then Rodgers, like Ben, was a generational talent. Prescott was already a finished product when McCarthy got to DAL. No other QB in his history as a QB coach or OC that wasn't forgettable. Uh, Joe Montana was forgettable? Did...

Re: Pens Offseason Talk
Anyone seen Bill Zonnon play in Juniors or last night in the Calder Cup? Not sure he's as far along as Ben Kindel but honestly, he might have more upside. In his first professional game last night, in Round 2 of the Calder Cup playoffs, he and Murashov were easily the two best players on the ice. Zo...

Re: This should be the reset year: don't bring back Rodgers
Count me in as wanting Rodgers back. 1. I want to see what this same team does this year vs last. 2. I want Rookie QB's to learn under a future HOFer. 3. He gives them a chance to win. EXACTLY where I am !! I give it until October before you guys realize Mcacarthy is a dumbfuck and AR and obstacle ...

tea leaves saying intent is to claim Allar is The Guy, and will be week 1 starter 2027, barring a show of exceptional ineptitude. So, our calendar appears booked until 2028. Re: 2027 Rodgers retires mock
I'm very curious to see Patrick Graham's plan for utilizing the 15 strong safeties he has on the team, especially at slot CB and Free Safety. I guess they are going to start with Brisker at FS and Ramsey at NCB but I'd bet a dollar they won't end the season that way. Brisker's instincts and mentalit...

Re: 7.230 Eli Heidenreich, RB, Navy
A coherent NFL level offense that actually plans for each opponent and uses plays and formations to set up future plays and formations might be enough to get me through another season. I’ll believe that the offense will change, when I see the offense change. A2 wants the dinosaur attack. He thinks ...

1.21 Iheanachor - C B2B thinks i obsess about player age. Relative to most draftniks, probably yes. Relative to NFL teams? I barely care at all compared to them. The top 6 OTs with 2004 or 2005 date of birth were drafted: 9, 10, 12, 17, 19, and 28th overall The top 6 OTs with 2003 or earlier date o...

No offense but was this just a good PR move by the Steelers? Kinda a throwaway pick to get some attention and warm feelings? Let’s put it this way: he’s a better prospect that Kaleb Johnson as a RB and a better prospect than Roman Wilson as a WR. He’s also a 4-unit STs player. It would surprise me ...

Re: SteelerFury Steelers Mock Draft Contest - B2B wins
I attribute my win to these things:
1. Breaking down Mike McCarthy’s WR preferences
2. Looking at his history with fullbacks and filtering that through a weak FB class
3. Know the utter yinzerness of this crew couldn’t help themselves but pick Allar and Heidenreich

Iheanachor = B now, A+ if he comes close to his potential Bernard = perfect fit for this offense and likely to be successful. A Allar = 5-10% chance to start 5 games in his career. If he isn't Kenny Pickett bad, it would be amazing. If he outperforms that expectation and is serviceable or better, ch...

This is why they should have prepped Murashov earlier in the year. Rookie goaltender most opponents haven’t seen, might have been able to stump the band for a few games in a row.
