Re: No Mo Jonnu

Not excusing Smiths performance in relation to his salary but the offense was an abortion last year. He may thrive in another environment. I don't know about that. Offensive issues aside, to me Jonnu seemed objectively below Muth and Washington. Muth had more of a live body. Jonnu was as pedestrian...

Re: Ouch: Cowboys blogger on McCarthy in Dallas

LOL LOL LOL NOONE is going to make Mike Tomlin look like an offensive mastermind. Tomlin was one of the worst offensive minds at the HC coach position in the history of the league. Getting out from underneath the Tomlin offensive rock is a breath of fresh air. McCarthy is probably not the answer. Hi...

Re: Steelers blew it with Klint Kubiak

Scheelhaase being an hc candidate to us, but mcvay going outside of the organization to bring in Kingsbury when LaFleur left instead of just promoting Scheelhaas to the non-play calling rams OC job is a rough look as well. There may still be some face-saving job title changes, but geez. Scheelhaase...

Re: Jim Schwartz to Steelers as DC?

Eh, Tomlin's the witch that finally melted to me. He's always going to have his ballwashers who will refuse to acknowledge he played any role in his own decline over time (and the peak wasn't all that great, really). I'd rather just see the organization stop deluding itself and make progress. I get...

Re: OT: Belichek denied HOF

You also understand that the Hall of Fame changed the voting rules a few years ago and made it very hard to elect everybody. I think it’s going to be much harder to get first ballot guys elected and even more so for coaches and contributors who are now lumped in with seniors Like, Bill Belichick ha...

Re: Mediocre Mike's Biggest Flaw

Sean McVay has more playoff wins, and more Super Bowls than Mike Tomlin's entire 19 years in Pittsburgh. He was hired in 2017. Tomlin is a good coach, but let's not act like we did anything exceptionally well since 2010. 2011 - lost to Tebow 2012 - missed playoffs 2013 - started 0-4 missed playoffs...

Exactly

149 total yards the Steelers lowest playoff total since 1947 but yeah they were right in it lol
Trailing 7-6, Houston w 3rd & 15 on own 18 going into final play of 3Q. Were Steelers NOT in it at that point.

Nah, Art 2 doesn't want any part of this 41-6 balderdash. Best is to ease in, keep it 17-17 and try to win late in the fourth quarter.
Good chance they fuck this up and we end up with something similar

Harrison may be bitter and aloof...but he's not wrong in his critique. Zero coaching tree...8-12 playoff record....7 consecutive playoff losses (where he was down by 21 or more at one point). That's not HOF worthy. Purely from a football standpoint Mike Tomlin is probably as average as it gets. 200...

You know, what might end up impacting the job search more than anyone is thinking is Rooney's seeming determination for the team not to rebuild. I stayed a Tomlin fan longer than most. He didn't lose me until that day in New Orleans where Ben and Brown couldn't be stopped... ...and then Mike Tomlin thought he'd be able to turtle away an entire quarter of football with just a four point lead. His numerous mistakes before then had shaken my f...

They are a garbage organization on the offensive side of the football. I was capable of better sports strategy when I was 10 years old.
