Re: I would extend Rodgers now

I remember last year late November people on this board were not only talking about giving Russ Wilson a 3 year deal, but were saying it should be similar to Baker Mayfield’s $100 million deal with the Bucs.

Yeah.. I don’t see Muuth being moved.. at least not for a draft pick. I could maybe envision a swap for player at a position of need. Hard to see a fit though currently.

Re: Snap Counts

Thanks Swiss. 82 defensive snaps is not good. Offense has to get better and control the ball more, move the chains, etc. Novel approaches of using other WRs not number 4, would help. So predictable. Anyway. keeping the vets from leading the units in snaps is a good thing. Benton ( 49 ) and Harmon (...

Re: Jaylen Warren for Steelers' MVP Today

We'll see on Washington He's ginormous with good hands. That's useful He had 3 catches for 62 yds. He got behind the defense on the 1st play because the D completely ignored him. Again, ginormous with good hands is useful. Didn’t Rodgers also miss fire one to him on a roll out? The production was g...

What you don’t see here, and what is equally funny, is where Rodgers got it. It was actually one of the Oline that first took a whiff and then passed it off to Rodgers. There are better clips going around that show the full exchange.

Re: Donnie Kelly extended, Cherington back 2026

PPG reporting that Donnie Kelly has been extended as Buccos manager. Really happy for Donnie, he did a decent job managing a lineup that often featured at least 4 players below or at the Mendoza Line. He kept the team close to .500 until the semi-collapse in September. Tough to keep a group of men ...

He’s a generational talent. He has the power of Nolan Ryan and the craftiness of Greg Maddux. Amazingly, the Pirates are going to squander it.

Fascinating. You think anyone on the PFF staff took the under yesterday? There's a warped and political media narrative surrounding Rodgers. It's nonsense. I have nothing against him, I'd actually like to see him succeed. Rodgers will be the only thing remotely interesting about this team by the middle of the season, but I have zero emotional investment in his arc here....

The Steelers should be playing for 2027 so trading Watt would make sense. But, almost every other move they've made this off season seems like "win now mode".

This team is a mess.
Exactly. It’s like they are having second thoughts on going all in to be pretenders.

Re: Schefter: Steelers trade Minkah to the Dolphins for Jalen Ramsey, also deal for Jonnu Smith

Given we do not have a legit #2 WR I imagine the plan is to run a fair amount of two TE sets with Muth and Smith. Can pass to both and might help to pull some coverage off whichever JAG they stick opposite DK. Yeah.. I suspect in the half dozen games when Muth is not concussed we will get a heavy m...

So which current TE is the odd man out? I'm assuming Frieremuth- because Smith would seem to make him redundant. When Jim Rooney talked about Tomlin "overachieving" with what he had, he might not have noticed that nearly half the teams in the NFL finished with 9 or more wins. And that's been happening for a few years now. The NFL is a few great teams, a few bad teams, and the muddled middle. The Steelers' spo...
