Re: Steelers sign Cordarrelle Patterson

KR definitely just became a lot more important, particularly in the hands of a creative STs coach. The bad news there, of course, being Danny Smith. People here hate on him but I have yet to hear a negative thing said about that man by anyone that has actually met or interacted with him. I am getti...

Honestly, I knew it was skewed to the defense, and yeah, most of our offensive stars are on rookie contracts or being paid by other teams, but wow. That's a huge disparity.
We have offensive stars? Who knew???

Re: NFL Bans the Hip Drop Tackle

My guess is when a guy gets hurt, they'll flag and fine it. If Belicheat were still coaching, he'd teach his guys to flop on the ground a bit after a questionable tackle hoping to draw a flag. And by Belicheat, do you mean Harbaugh? Well, I guess it’s the Harbaugh’s now/again. So how long before we...

Re: Pierre finally not going to be taking a slot on the 53 man roster

I get now how the wording is confusing, wasn't Pierre considered a gunner? Jobu, I was referring to Gunner O. It drove me nuts that he made, and then stayed on the 53 for sooo long last year, and was ecstatic when they finally released him around mid season or so. Ok lol. I guess I read that wrong....

Re: Pierre finally not going to be taking a slot on the 53 man roster

Being reported that Redskins are signing him, was afraid he was going to be one of our next vet minimum resigns. IMHO he was almost as much of a waste on the 53 man roster as gunner. I never saw the Special Teams play value that warranted using slots for either of them, not to mention anytime eithe...

Re: Justin Fields from the Bears perspective

The one thing that scares me is I don't think they see Dan Moore as a problem. Don't be surprised if a premium pick is not used on a tackle. I could see them using one of the 3rds on a guy like Blake Fisher. Khan has said that they are moving Jones to LT and while he does not make the decisions, th...

Needed to check out something with reports of fields being a “turnover machine.” Josh allen, Jalen hurts, Brock Purdue, joe fucco, tua…and others, all had higher interception percentages Good info Swiss 30 interceptions in 3 years isn’t particularly high, although you’d like it to be better. 36 fum...

While I'm no KP fan, if I was an NFL QB or WR I'd do everything in my power to get as far away from Mike Tomlin as possible. He won't develop you or get you paid (in Pittsburgh, at least).

I know many have discussed it here but one thing that is surprising is no one I've seen in football pundit land has picked up on. Khan has milked the Bears two years running. No guarantee Fields amounts to anything but given how cheap it was to get him and ditching Clayfool for perhaps best CB this...

The Steelers probably had the worst QB room in the league last season. And I only say probably because Mason Rudolph was able to put together two good games and two “okay” games at the end of the season. Mitch Trubisky and Kenny Pickett were the worst QBs on NFL rosters last year. Attachments IMG_2...

Colbert was a very good GM. His two decades brought 3 Super Bowls and two Lombardis. That’s HoF worthy. That said, his last several seasons were mediocre at best. It’s apparent that just like head coaches, the game passes GMs by also. Fortunately, Colbert knew when it was time to retire. Unfortunate...

....and I respect it. I believe Pickett played pretty damn well as a rookie once he got his feet underneath him, but was a victim of Tomlin/Canada's ridiculously uber-conservative offense. Don't make mistakes. Don't throw INT's. Take the checkdown. Be careful with the ball. If we have to punt 25 ya...
