Update - McFadden is walking it back a bit today. Says the info he got was "3rd or 4th party" and he hasn't talked to anyone with the Steelers directly.

Honestly Sully to Jersey would make sense....Doubt the Pens let him do it, though.

I feel seen.....
I'm only tracking box scores, so don't have much to contribute.
Also looks like Pittsburgh is going to get wall to wall rain for my trip this weekend

In a million years, I could never see Tomlin going OL the first two picks , let alone OL the first round in both drafts. That's not Tomlin's style nor ever has been. They took OL back to back in 2012. They also spent 4/6 picks in Rounds 1 & 2 OL between 2010-2012 (Pouncey, Gilbert, Decastro, Adams)...

Follow up... the breakdown of Steelers formation usage last year: Pittsburgh's defense was in its base package with four defensive backs on the field for 35.5% of its snaps, the highest percentage in the league. The Steelers were in their dime personnel with six defensive backs for 23.2% of their s...

Prove your claim. Out of the 31 other NFL teams, who has a) drafted WRs better than the Steelers over the last 20+ years and b) drafted more productive WRs in the second and later rounds than the Steelers have? I was trying to think of a few. New Orleans and Seattle have done a good job, but I woul...

Re: Pick 3.84 Michigan WR Roman Wilson
In his 5 seasons in Pittsburgh, Randel El never caught more than 47 balls. He topped 600 yards in a season only once. In his 9 year career, he played in 143 games with 71 starts, only 23 of those in Pittsburgh. He had 370 receptions and 15 receiving TDs. That is very average, and not good enough fo...

Oh man...Tony Gwynn stats always get my juices flowing. Some of his quirky stats are just absurdly good. He only struck out 188 times in the entire 1990's decade. Speaking of context....this blows my mind: Gwynn struck out fewer times in the entire decade of the 1990s than Ohtani did in his 2021 MV...

The most exciting pick in our draft right here. Cannot fucking wait to watch Wilson hit Wilson for big TD throws!! Payton Wilson doesn't play on offense, man. Re: Pick 3.84 Michigan WR Roman Wilson
This was Plax, not Edwards.
Like a lot of things in th draft though, it's not a myth so much as it was true in a certain window.
The Steelers landed Ward, Plax, and ARE within a 4 year window. Then they nabbed Wallace, Sanders, and AB in back to back drafts.

Definitely a developmental pick. Dude has the length and athleticism to play 3-4 DE, but he'll need to bulk up. Hopefully he's the 2nd coming of Brett Keisel

Re: Pick 4. 119 Mason McCormick SDST
3 picks in the first 4 rounds being O-Line is surprising. Looks like a lot of the CBs and DL they were targeting have been picked over, though It's a passing league and the other teams understand, the importance of Nickel CB. The only failure of Khan/Tomlin in this draft, imo. Overrating the CB roo...

Re: Pick 1. 20 Troy Fautanu OL Washington
I worry about overage prospects. Is the tape good just because they are more mature? With that said, tackle is a position worth spending a first on and if Tony is good tackle in the league totally worth it. FWIW - Fautanu was stuck behind an 3x all PAC-12 and 2022 All American (Jaxson Kirkland) his...

Re: J C Latham or Graham Barton
We need to remember consensus is often wrong, very wrong. Take everything you see from Mocks etc with a grain of salt. I think there are 6 maybe 7 centers that could start and all would be better options than Mason Cole: Barton, JPJ, Frazier, Van Pran, Nourzad, McCormick and possibly Limmer or Bort...
