OT: NFL HOF
I just had to take a second to post with outrage at the fact that Jerry Kramer is not in the Hall of Fame.
Of course, LC greenwood and Donnie She'll and Andy Russell are deserving... but Jerry freaking Kramer was named to the NFL's all-time team! It shocked me so much to learn he's not in.

Yeah, Kramer belongs in. I think the only pure G's in are Hannah, Delamielleure, Little, Upshaw, and Mcdaniel. It makes it tough for Faneca...

Just an eye-opener. The best Guard of the big running era. Who did they think was making all those superstar RBs superstar RBs?

Best pulling guard maybe to ever play Gene Hickerson didn't get in till 2007 when he was on his last (crippled) legs. Gene was better than Kramer, paved for Jimmy, Leroy and others. Took Jimmy Brown decades to get him his due. Sick priorities. Gene was the epitome of tough.
Kevin Greene is another must....I am not a Kevin Greene die hard.
He could rush the passer
Teams stop running at him in his prime
Just a great NFL career...The body of work speaks for itself

Yeah I realize there are always going to be guys whose candidacies are contentious-- but some of the non-inducted guys are a bit silly, especially in the context of lesser modern players getting inducted.

Speaking of the HOF, what a great tribute to Jim Kelly Andre Reed made in his speech. Classy and very moving. Mass respect for him.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

What a strange contrast; some of the toughest bastards you'd ever meet tearing up with runny noses, hugging & kissing other men during Friday's processional walk. I could see Lambert either walking straight to the stage with an acknowledging nod or shaking hands with a select few while telling a few others to fuck off.
