It rained, so they stopped practice early? What are they going to do when it starts raining during a game?

I think it was lightning in the area that caused them to stop, not just rain.

That is the fucking truth there!!! :

Whatever the officials tell them to do, probably. There have been NFL games delayed by lightning before.
There were thunderstorms rolling and you've got thousands of fans sitting on metal bleachers to worry about. It shouldn't be that surprising that they ended a no-pads practice early.

Do they ever practice in bad weather? Last year when Brown stepped out of bounds at the end of the Miami game, Tomlin said what do you expect; it was snowing! Maybe if the team had been practicing in similar conditions, he might have been better at running in a straight line.

Yeah they really should throw snow on the field in August, so the players remember how to play in it 4 months later.

We all know a certain sock sucking owner is way too cheap to do that.

They should call Bob Nutting about getting one of the old snow machines from 7 Springs on the cheap.

Apparently you haven't been to 7 Springs since Nutting bought it. NOTHING is cheap!

Allen over Thomas. So...why did we draft Shamarko Thomas? How long is Shamrock going to sit? The word is he's Troy's replacement, but I wonder.
drafted him to play SS, a position he'll be more ready to play if he takes his camp snaps at SS than if he takes them somewhere else.Still Lit wrote:Allen over Thomas. So...why did we draft Shamarko Thomas?
Seems obvious, but coaches probably care more about players taking their snaps at the positions they are trying to learn than ensuring we stick to a proper depth chart hierarchy . Also, I doubt chris hubbard has passed cody wallace on the depth chart. But if they want to give wallace snaps at oc, and pouncey refuses to be injured through two practices, wallace is going to take those snaps 2nd unit and hubbard will play a few with the 1st team.

The Rooneys trying to buy a decommissioned snow maker from Bob Nutting would be a negotiation for the ages.

Okay, I see they practiced in the rain today. Good for them. I don't get out that way very often.
I think they ought to practice in the same conditions they will have when it's time to play. That means just about anything. No need to get a snow machine for camp, though. They will have real snow soon enough.

I would lay dollars to donuts that no NFL team practices in bad weather.
You have millions of dollars of assets...you are not going to put them at risk in bad weather for a few extra minutes of practice.
