Tomorrow's SBI
From what I gather, these are the teams to root for tomorrow:
Tennessee over Oakland
Ravens over Bills (I feel dirty for typing this)
Pats over Chiefs (I going to confession, now)
Bucs over Colts
Bengals over Browns.
Steelers over Cards (34-13 my score prediction).

Nope....SBI is definitely Raiders over Titans
.
Titans are rolling right now. We need them to drop some games because I seriously doubt the Steelers win out, and if the Titans lose they need to drop only conference games.

Hmmm... seems plausible. But if we all come down to 9-7, won't the Raiders come out on top? If the Raiders lose this game they are pretty much out, where the Titans still play the Texans twice and the Saints.
I agree this as well. Titans over Raiders.TemporaryStill wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 10:15 pmHmmm... seems plausible. But if we all come down to 9-7, won't the Raiders come out on top? If the Raiders lose this game they are pretty much out, where the Titans still play the Texans twice and the Saints.
Titans have a tough stretch of games left and play teams they could also knock below us no matter who wins.
Raiders have a dead easy last four games...although two of the four are on the road and they suck on the road.

I expected OAK to be bad WITH Antonio Brown this year....but if they still had him they might actually be somewhat formidable.

Ben comes back, Tomlin doesn't = CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

I was going to add we don't really need BUF to lose as there would still be a path to the #6 seed.
But more paths is always better, and if BAL gets the #1 seed then we'd prefer to be #5. Other than winning a playoff game with Duck is probably asking too much.

Why would you prefer the 5th seed if Baltimore is 1st and not the 5th seed if NE is 1st?Kodiak wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 11:09 pmI was going to add we don't really need BUF to lose as there would still be a path to the #6 seed.

Assuming Pitt gets past the WC game do you think they match up better with NE in the 2nd round?
My understanding is they would need to play either Bal or NE if they get that far regardless of 5th or 6th seed.
Secure NHALS early and then go deep into the PLAYOFFS.

Yeah, I got that all turned around. I meant I'd prefer the 5 seed, assuming NE is #1.Texas Black & Gold wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2019 1:46 amWhy would you prefer the 5th seed if Baltimore is 1st and not the 5th seed if NE is 1st?

But now that you mention it, I'm not sure who we match-up better with right now. We've been terrible at NE, and we've always played BAL pretty tough even on the road.
Plus, a BUF, or even KC or HOU (as wild cards) would have a decent chance of winning at NE....so it's not impossible that we could host the AFCC as a 5 seed. But that's only happening if The Gray is plotting a secret playoff return.

I heard he was working on throwing left handed.....

I have a feeling that Buffalo takes down the Fighting Lamar’s tomorrow. Don’t ask why, other than it just seems like it’s time...
NHALS = NFL purgatory

It looks like we have to root for Houston every week.

RAIDERS over TITANS is likely SBI
Titans will have the tie breaker over Pitt if both teams are 9-7 unless the Titans finish 9-7 and beat the Saints as its a non conf win, Oakland will not have the tiebreaker versus us... and Oakland has been awful on the road and is very likely to drop one of their last 3. Also if Colts finish 9-7 they'd eliminate Tennessee if both are 9-7 but that is seeming very unlikely.
If Titans win this week for Pitt to get in at 9-7 the Titans would have to lose both games to Houston and there's a pretty good chance Houston is locked into their seed (or possibly doesn't care about whether they get the 3 or the 4) going into their week 17 match.
Granted if Oakland wins this week they would need to lose one of their last 3 - home v Jags, at Chargers, at Denver for Pitt to get in at 9-7.
At fivethirtyeight including QB play we are at 47 % to get in now, with a win we climb to 59 %. However, if the Titans also win we fall to 55 %. If the Raiders win we climb to 65 %.

Why are we rooting for the Pats again?

Broncos over the Texans correct for SBI?
Secure NHALS early and then go deep into the PLAYOFFS.

Patriots losing is great for Steelers SBI. Chiefs winning or losing doesn't matter as they're winning the AFC West regardless.
We need to have Baltimore in week 17 having the #1 seed already locked up and nothing to play for. Ravens now essentially have a two game lead on the Pats with 3 left after the Pats lost today. Great stuff.

Root for KC next weekend, because the Chiefs own the tiebreaker with Baltimore. If KC defeats Denver next weekend, then Baltimore can't clinch home field until Week 16 (assuming they beat the Jets).tbsteel wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 1:11 amPatriots losing is great for Steelers SBI. If the Steelers can't catch the Ravens, then at least they can bury the Browns
