I don't think he's tough enough to run those routes over the middle. Welker may be a crying china doll, but he's fearless.
Welker is a 70% reception rate guy....Sanders might improve in that system, but he's more like a 60% guy, and that won't cut it in Heir Manning's offense.
I think Sanders is better than people give him credit for here, I just don't think he's a top-30 receiver in this league. And I'm not convinced Manning and his system make guys better (relative to other top QB's), he's just been loaded with weapons/options most of his career. It's not like Sanders is coming from CLE where he had shit at QB.
If Manning throws 30% more passes/yards than PIT, then Sanders will see maybe 30% more in his stats, which puts him in the 1000/8 neighborhood. I don't see any reason to believe he grabs disproportionately more of that offense than he did in PIT. I don't think Sanders is as good as Decker and I don't think he puts up Decker's numbers in that offense.
