Javis & DHB
Javis & DHB
Jarvis showed more power and burst then I can ever recall, yes Bell isnt Jason Peters but then again who is? I really liked what I saw from him tonight, very encouraging,
DHB might turn out to be a real steal. I dont see anyway he doesnt not only make the roster but also challenge for #3 WR at some point.

not the way i see it --
if a has-been like DHB looks that great on our team, then that means our team SUX BALLS
don't get me wrong -- i agree that DHB should be our 3rd WR -- and what a sorry situation it is that DHB should be our 3rd WR

3rd? Right now he looks like our X deep threat. I think he starts and Wheaton goes to the slot if he can beat out Moore. FWIW, it seems like the teams talent evaporated like water in the desert.

You are correct, lets face it Moye and J Brown are not NFL level WR. Not sure Wheaton is either. But we will find out soon!

Our mid to late round steal WR (YMC) were during Arians tenure and yes he lobbied for at least two of them. I think that well has run dry. Somehow I'm not seeing Todd reviewing hundreds of hours of film to find players like that.
It shows too.

most disappointing is that our big name FA WR Lance Moore has shown close to nothing this preseason

Nor anyone else at an acceptable level save AB and DHB.
Forgetting the limp leg jock shake on the Wheaton TD too soon, I reckon.
That kids got skills.
He's no RZ mismatch, I'll give you that.

And I missed most of the first half, something having to do with work having my way above average skills being diminished by some clocking in/out stats. Fucking ridiculous.
Anyway, from the game thread, it seems Jarvis is a board favorite for the week?

And Arians found another receiver for the Cards.....John Brown....3rd round. He is going to get significant playing time for them.

I actually thought Jervis showed something last night that at least gives me hope, hopefully he can build off of that and come in ready to play against clowns

I think we are talking about three players drafted in the mid rounds since Arians left. Wheaton, Brown and Bryant. All of which happened in the last two years. Not really the same length of time.
How often do teams continually hit on 6th round receivers anyway? Isn't Moye a UDFA?
If we are taking Haley to task for not finding due to a lack of watching enough tape to find them are we blaming Arians for Limas Sweed and his second round bust?

Of course not, you have to take away Arians negative picks, its the only way to be fair.
Mike Tomlin: Bringing mediocrity to the 'Burgh for over a decade.
According to some, teams hit on 6th and 7th round picks all the time.
