Belichick Just Benched Mac Jones
What does this have to do with Steelers football?
Don’t be afraid to move on from your first round QB draft pick if he doesn’t have IT.

Then they put a fourth round pick rookie in the game and call plays letting him throw deep.

He just threw two bombs and now they are up 14-10

Then they play Shipping Up To Boston and it is foggy, and it reminds me why I can’t stand watching the Patriots!
Jibbs asshole clenched tighter than a vice grip when he saw that.
IF he saw that.
If he did he most likely texted Oh Canada saying how dumb the Patriots are for not trying to “get to third down” first.

Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 88 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

Drafting O-Line round 1 and Zappe round 4 sure would have been nice.

I feel bad for Carolina when they take Stroud #1. Ohio St QB’s suck in the league.

Yea, maybe he should follow Belichek and bench his 1st rounder, from last year. Warren is better than Harris. Next year at this time if Pickett regressed, then maybe think about benching him too.
I’m not some Kenny Pickett cheerleader
But
More than half of Pickett’s interceptions are the fault of his receivers
Also, he’s greatly hindered by the Steelers offensive scheme
I think if you put him in NE he’s performing fairly differently

I dunno about this but 9 on the Bears to cleats to the nuts then came back and got a pick. Intestinal fortitude if you will

For the record I’m 100 percent for Pickett’s audition lasting all season.
But if we suck balls and have a top 5 pick and an elite QB prospect is there, you don’t be afraid to move on from your first rounder if he doesn’t have it. I think it’s even more so the case if you can supplant the dud with a legit QB prospect.

Meanwhile Belichek defense is getting tooled by shitty Justin Fields cause New England is primarily a man team and guess Belichek doesn’t realize man isn’t the best defense to play against a QB that throws like shit but runs like Gayle Sayers.

I don’t know if some of Picketts picks are the fault of his receivers
I do know that Tomlin’s plan to have Kenny sit for a year behind a veteran went way a muck (YOU SUCK, Mitchy )
Had Tomlin opted to let Kenny take his lumps from day one instead of worrying about NHALS then MAYBE the chemistry with his receivers not named George Pickens might have been better with a training camp, preseason etc.
Anyway, Kenny taking most of the vitriol but I think DJ and Claypool along with the Steelers reputation for drafting wide receivers needs to take their share.
The trade deadline is mythical with NHALS still in play
But man I trade DJ and/or Claypool for ten cents on the dollar and start fresh with a couple more selfless rookies for Pickett and Pickens to grow with.

Watching other teams that have legit running games. Man I can’t believe how bad we are at running the football.
Mike Tomlin can go kick rocks.

Much like when we benched Mitch, Pats got a sugar rush and then their defense went to shit.

Steelers are 10.5 dogs this Sunday at PHI.
Tomlin must be so proud; second time in three weeks we are double digit underdogs! Haha.

Maybe he will regret benching Jones for Zappe...

Just the mere idea of picking a mid round QB next year has Steelers fans in a tizzy. That’s what the Oatriots did and I’m guessing they’re glad they did.Steelperch wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 1:19 amThen they put a fourth round pick rookie in the game and call plays letting him throw deep.

I'm a proponent of starting Mason Almighty the rest of the year.
I do think they'll fire Canada after seasons end, I mean how could they not at this point?
Obviously the best thing would be to fire both the Rooney rule coach and Canada, But we all know Rooney won't do that. So, let Pickett chill on the sideline from here on and pray to God Rooney brings Haley or some other competent OC in this offseason, tells Jibbs to stay the fuck out of his way like he did with Arians and Lebeau, and let Pickett compete for the starting job next year.

Zappe has lost his mojo, looks like Duck Hodges now.

So, B2B, can you give us a ballpark figure on how much longer Lynch will be allowed to spew his racism before he gets banned this time? Thanks.

Well Mason is gone and Mitch only has one year left on his deal if they don't trade him. Drafting a QB wouldn't surprise me except for the fact that they don't have a lot of picks next year. Making a deal or three to add some certainly would help.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 2:54 amJust the mere idea of picking a mid round QB next year has Steelers fans in a tizzy. Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

The 3 finalists for the coach opening were Tomlin, Ken Whisenhunt and Russ Grimm. The other two haven't done anything since then, and Tomlin is one of the most successful coaches since he was hired. I am pretty sure he got the job by merit. All of us see color, so I am certain the Rooney's did as well. But Dan Rooney talked about how Tomlin bowled them over with his preparation. The other 2 were well known as Steeler assistants, so they knew what they would be getting, and both were a safer bet. The hiring process has been in multiple books and publications.
Probably the first and only honest 40 hour week Tomlin has ever clocked.jewelsongs wrote: ↑Wed Oct 26, 2022 2:52 amBut Dan Rooney talked about how Tomlin bowled them over with his preparation.
But LOL, seriously, the competition was "I know when to call a TO, and when to throw the challenge flag". And, of course, the grand irony is LL Cool Shades still sucks at both those things.

LOL, some people are judged more harshly than others. On December 31, 2012, Whisenhunt was fired after 3 straight non-playoff seasons.
Ok, well maybe not.On November 3, 2015, after starting the season 1–6, the Titans fired Whisenhunt and named Mike Mularkey the interim head coach. Whisenhunt finished with a 3–20 record during his tenure with the team.
Grimm should never have been in the conversation, who thought that would work.
