The Steelers Offense…

Post by TomlinIsARoadblock » Wed Nov 15, 2023 12:24 am

… will end the season - a 17 game season - with fewer total yards than Payton Manning had in his record breaking season of 5,477.

You can’t make this stuff up.

I know, numbers confuse you and there is nothing wrong with that.

Just pointing out the myriad of records the Steelers seem to break every year under Tomlin’s watch,

Just of of curiosity, what was the last interesting thing you posted?

If you lower expectations enough, 9-8 seems like a victory.

Tomlin has mastered this. And folks like you eat it up like it is manna from Heaven.

Aren’t you smart enough to see that, once the turnover anomaly evens out, the Steelers are going to come crashing down.

Or do you think we will be plus 2 every game just because,

Do you even watch the games little Lemming? If you did you certainly wouldn’t say “just because”. Even if you just read the discourse on the Board you wouldn’t say something that stupid.

Was that English you were typing?

If so, please go back to the 5th grade and try to pass on your own merit this time around.

Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t realize you had a mental condition that made English or reading comprehension difficult for you. I’ll make it easier…

You are wrong. And everything you said was fucking moronic. Good day.

I noticed you could not address a single fact.

It is okay.

Keep loving you some Tomlin.

Dude, the only fact you made clear in this moronic Lemming thread of yours is that you don’t know what discourse means and you’re too stupid to understand that the Steelers are intentionally minimizing risk with their schematic approach. At least others, with whom I disagree, comprehend that.

Now please for the sake of all that is good in the world educate yourself or stop using the English language just to prove you are a complete fool. It’s embarrassing.

You are precious.

Minimizing risk.

Is that another phrase for not having the skill to throw to the middle of the field?

If so, good on you, mate.

Just like it “worked” during our 11-0 start in 2020.

Dumb as a rock. I should have known better after you couldn’t even comprehend English above, as you noted, a 5th grade level.

This is not the 2020 season. It’s not the 2008 season either. None of that matters. At all.

Keep irrationally conflating and spouting that Lemming nonsense since you have no actual point to make.

Go watch the Arena league if that’s what you’re into. I guess they also steam Madden matches since that more your style.

Yep.

This team is worse than the 2020 team.

Keep shaking those Pom-poms.

If you think the Steelers will win a playoff game this year, you are even stupider than you look.

You are a strange, little man.

It is good to know you enjoy mediocrity.

Problem is folks like you allow the Steelers to win 2 playoff games in 10 years and still get praised.

Maybe at 15 years, you’ll figure it out.

But probably not.

No one enjoys mediocrity. Nice deflection attempt straight from the Lemming boy playbook. I don’t have the inclination to educate you at the moment but if you want to learn go back and read my posts from the Caveman thread. It’s all laid out logically for you there. Now if you can’t understand simple logic like you clearly struggle with simple English then no one can help you. I’m done embarrassing you for now.

Because that would be a proud moment.

Then you must be the proudest fan in the world this year.

Funny thing is, though, teams that always win ugly don’t win come playoff time.

But enjoy the next 2 months.

The battle to 9-8 or, if things go perfectly, 10-7, before the Chiefs beat us 42-14, should be just your kind of thing.

Dear Sir,

Please reeducate yourself on the 2020 season. There is the actual game that we lost in the playoffs and the turnovers and Ben’s heroics….but then there is what happened to the Steeler organization over the course of that season that was the equivalent of the Jesse James catch all over, again, from NFL HQ. That 11-0 was real! And yes it was a catch.

We were robbed of a bye and a solid argument can be made that we were robbed of 2 or even 3 byes!

We lost our first bye week for Week 8 and were forced to take a premature already started the regular week process (week 4) as our bye week.

Bye weeks are pretty big process evaluation weeks in the NFL, so they are a big deal and getting a faux bye week in week 4 hosed us! Wait for the injuries…Foreshadowing.

All of this mind you because other teams,Tennessee in this instance, didn’t take the Covid precautions seriously and we got hosed multiple times during the season!

Then there was the Baltimore Thanksgiving week debacle that had ripples for at least 3 weeks…remember that one? We were supposed to play on Thanksgiving and ended up playing the following Wednesday instead of just giving us a forfeit because one of us had great Covid policies and adherence…aka a pretty solid organizational execution! Instead we got dicked around with 3 or 4 postponements until finally a fucking Wednesday game the following week!

Then there were all the injuries that kept piling up from significant ones to injuries that ended up being a big deal due to us not having bye weeks and then of course the NFL could have eliminated the bye week before the Superbowl and given everyone a bye week at the end of the regular season considering the raging pandemic but they did not and we got screwed as the injuries and schedule changes kept piling up!

A little snippet of what was going on when the dam broke after the Thanksgiving debacle!
The Pittsburgh Steelers have been lucky, as it pertains to injuries, throughout the 2020 regular season. Yes, they’ve had to deal with the season-ending knee injuries of Zach Banner and Devin Bush, and last Wednesday they lost Bud Dupree for the season with his own season-ending ACL injury, but for the most part the Steelers have remained a relatively healthy team.

But I’m not sure how much longer that moniker will be able to be used as the team prepares for the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football in Week 14.

During the Steelers’ Week 13 loss to the Washington Football Team, they lost cornerback Joe Haden to a concussion, and a knee injury to Robert Spillane Mike Tomlin said will need to be evaluated.

With a short week coming up, it seems unlikely Haden, who will have to work through the NFL’s stringent concussion protocol, and Spillane will be available in Buffalo Sunday night. And they are now joining a growing list of players who are banged up in one way or another.

The Steelers were without Steven Nelson (knee) on Monday, and had kicker Chris Boswell (hip) inactive on Monday. Throw in the fact the Steelers were also missing James Conner and Maurkice Pouncey due to being on the Reserve/COVID-19 List and you have a very depleted roster.
This is just from memory, and I am sure there were other details I am missing that conspired to really hose us that year. While the NFL might not have intentionally screwed us, the end result was our 11-0 to 12-4 record was sabotaged by decisions, when looked at in totality, were very anti-Steeler and seemed to work against at every point in the 2020 season! At least 2 games were lost due to all the cramming from Thanksgiving, and one of those games was against Buffalo. Maybe just maybe had we received a break at some point from the NfL we would have been the team with the playoff bye, or at least gotten a week off before playoffs started due to the extraordinary lengths the NFL went thru to force the Steelers to jam in their 16 games!
