Re: Steelers Colts Gameday Bedwetting Thread
Captain bullshit wanted to keep the timeout “in his hip pocket”. Good lord Art the deuce fire this imbecile now!!!
So Fields called for the ball while looking towards the sidelines?bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:22 pmYou can keep blaming him for years if you want—either Fields or the guard called for the snap. Dude please.

He was in bounds with the EZ in front of him before he lateralled it to the colts. I am going to go ahead and make that assumption.zeke5123 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:22 pmHe didn’t literally take seven off. You are making that assumption.drmalba wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:19 pmI get the Najee play was dumbfuck with the clock situation, but Pickens literally took seven off the board in the 1H when you were down 17 and absolutely couldn't afford any more mistakes.
One silver lining is they might actually take the training wheels off of Fields after this one. But there's still a lot of stupid on this team to coach out. We're on top of the division, and the season is young, but that was a completely avoidable loss.
bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:23 pmI mean, also consider that the Steelers offense made a crappy Indy defense look like the 2008 Steelers. That was a team they probably should have cut through all day long.franco32 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:20 pmWhat truly fucked us was a coaching staff that won't open up the offense until we are down multiple scores and leave no margin for error. We also had a defense that was overrated and shit the bed today.
T. Austin constantly had ZERO answer to WRs being isolated on LBs.
That's the worst defense we'll face all year.

This means the Steelers will play hungry next Sunday night against the Cowboys.
I predict a bounce back game at home next week.

Plus no matter if he actually fucked up or not today, he’s an unbelievable upgrade over Mason Cole. Not even a fucking question about it.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:22 pmYou can keep blaming him for years if you want—either Fields or the guard called for the snap. If you saw that, I’ll take your word, but fields has a serious history of this exact issue.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:22 pm100% on center! The guard was still looking back at Fields so he could tap Frazier in the hip.anpsteel wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:16 pmIt’s silent count

He has a habit of not paying attention to the fucking center

Of the QB pulls out too fast. That’s on him.
Of the QB is t paying attention on silent count. That’s on him.
When the QB in question has well over a dozen fumbled snaps, who tf do you think the issue is with ???
He has well over a dozen fumbles snaps, with, I believe, 4 different centers.
And about half of those are in shotgun.
He HAS to have more awareness
and for 3 quarters they made a conscious decision to not try … tbradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:23 pmI mean, also consider that the Steelers offense made a crappy Indy defense look like the 2008 Steelers. You take it after the terrible first down play to (1) save time and (2) set up a a key second down play. A good second down play could mean you are either not having to go for fourth or at is a manageable fourth. Really terrible coaching.
Fields is not going to magically get smarter.
He is who he is. He doesn’t seem to have any pocket awareness. He doesn’t appear to feel the rush. This is going to rear it’s head at some point in a bad way.
He also took some shots today.

"We, as an offensive collective were off today, and certainly, he's a component of that,"
He didn’t lateral it to the colts. He was being tackled and the ball came out. It was a terrible play on his part. But I don’t think first and goal from the five is a gimmiedrmalba wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:25 pmHe was in bounds with the EZ in front of him before he lateralled it to the colts. That is what I thought I saw! OG definitely looking back, but would need All 22 to get completely obnoxious about it LOL. You just can’t see the hip taps from the sideline anngke and I am on a huge 140” screen.anpsteel wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:27 pmIf you saw that, I’ll take your word, but fields has a serious history of this exact issue.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:22 pm100% on center! We had over 400 yards of offense today. Moral victories.
After a tough first half an early mistake, Fields was magnificent in the second half and without that MASSIVE fuck up by Frazier, they either win the game or at the very least, tie it up.
Holy shit.

steelers defense was an utter mess today. Not one player came to play today and having this happened hopefully lights a fire under Tomlin ass

Blah, blah, blah.
Really glad he got his extension in what should have been a prove-it year.

Texas Black and Gold is definitely not from Western PA…just way too optimistic. Obviously hasn’t lived for long periods with grey cloud weather of the Laurel Mountains hosing up the nice weather sent to us from California!Jizz Mop wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:31 pmAre you a plant for the Rooney family? Lost to Joe Flacco and statistically the worst D.
Magnificent. Lol.

You had Fields failing and you can't admit that after a tough start (and Pickens probably fucking him out of a TD) the guy led 3 straight TD drives to put his team in a position to win or at the very least, tie.
You can't admit you were wrong about Fields so you have to look for some weird affirmation that he sucks after Frazier and Harris blew this game.
Oh and Tomlin too.
Oh well, knock yourself out.

In am sorry but the need to have 2 quality WR but this was a terrible loss and i expect the cowboys to pass all over this team next week.
Not what it looked like to me. He absorbed the initial hit and trying to get his balance to get more yards did not pay attention to ball security and just loafed it right to the DB. I think had he hung on, it likely would have been two steps and a stretch but even if we concede the TD set up at or inside the 5, that's still almost an automatic 3 from Boswell. It was a crushing TO after the best drive of the game (91 yards from our own 4) and cost us big-time in the end.

The D choked, the offense played like shit for an entire half against one of the worst defenses in football with Fields having on of the most embarrassing fumbles I've ever seen, and people are trying to blame the center for losing the game. Unreal.langer wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:37 pmLost to Joe Flacco and statistically the worst D.

Except that if you watch the replay, you can see McCormick tap Frazier to snap the ball. Problem was…Frazier had already snapped the ball. 100% on Frazier.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:22 pmYou can keep blaming him for years if you want—either Fields or the guard called for the snap. NHALS = NFL purgatory

I agree it was a terrible play. I’m just saying we can’t assume a TD. Points though almost assuredly.
