Adams to Jets
Re: Adams to Jets
Internet appears to indicate Davante did not have a no-trade clause, so I would assume Jets were just high bidder unless you feel Davante was so loved by the Raiders that they prioritized his desires over the organization (alternatively, the raiders just don’t like the steelers).

Even so, the Jets are a train wreck.Jizz Mop wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 2:26 pmYesStillchest wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 2:13 pmBuuu....bu....but I thought every NFL player wants to play for Jibbs?!
Hard to believe Adams chose the Jets after watching our offense live
Adams just went from a 2-4 team with a first time starting QB that scored 13 last week to a 2-4 team with an old, once great QB that scored 20 but.... 7 of that was on a hail Mary.
There are a few places worse for a receiver to go, but not many.
Who knows if the Steelers with a 35 year old Wilson will throw the ball better but the J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS ain't no panacea for decent WR.
Cooper to Bills.

Beat me to it
Have you seen Williams play lately
Just turrible
Glad we didn't give up future draft capital for a soon-to-be 32-year-old WR with a massive contract when we don't have a QB and we aren't going fuck all of anywhere of note this year whether we've got Davante Adams or prime Randy Moss.

Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 88 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

Allen Lazard look the most choice of all the Jets receivers to me.
Low Miles?
NHALS = NFL purgatory
Maybe we can trade them.

Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”
Heard the Steelers have made some calls about Mike Williams, Christian Kirk, and Cooper Kupp. They inquired about Hopkins a week or so ago but it appears that has gone silent.
Still think a WR trade is imminent.

Those are good names. I’d give a 3rd for Kirk but only late rounders for the others; doubt any of those offers is successful except maybe the Jets dumping Williams salary when he’s riding the bench. Tyreek Hill might be worth asking about as well.
