Typical national "sports media" take in the Post ...
Mike Tomlin is not happy. His Steelers gave their fans a lump of coal on Christmas with a dud performance against the Chiefs at home in a 29-10 loss, Pittsburgh’s third straight defeat in 10 days.
But even the NY sports fans in the comments are cognizant of the actual problem:
It's Tomlin who is the "J. V. caliber" coach - but, let him keep on "doin' what he's doin."
---
completely over rated coach.... inherited a Super Bowl QB who won another SB ..Tomlin had nothing to do with it
---
Mike Tomlin, the Rooney Rule that keeps giving......Lifetime job security.

He said the same thing last season, and the season before and the season before that. Seems he hasn't had the time to figure out why it keeps happening.
Mike Tomlin Called Out Steelers for Playing 'JV Football' in Loss to Cardinals
The Steelers coach zinged his team for not playing to the NFL standard.

This thread on r/steelers contains some Tomlin criticism, I was shocked.

The funniest is when Tomlin media defenders come out and say stuff like "It's Russ Wilson's fault." "If only he had a better QB". You mean like a prime Big Ben?
I'm not sure if people are too stupid or lazy to see the 17 busted coverages on D/offensive philosophy that features Najee and Cordarelle in key moments...or if they just lie because they have an agenda and don't want Tomlin to fail?

didnt see your re-post but awesome
Tomlin PC 1/14/25 -“‘Stuck’ is a helpless feeling. I don’t feel helpless,” Tomlin said. “I don’t know if I want to sell you an overly optimistic (tone) either.

Pure projection. Every time he played BB is was JV vs. mocking varsity on a coaching and prep level.
The surest way to corrupt a youth is to instruct him to hold in higher esteem those who think alike than those who think differently.

Over the many years, I've gotten so tired of saying everything this guy put in his (very well done) video that I just decided it wasn't worth my valuable time anymore. I waste enough time watching the shit product Tomlin puts on the field that I decided to waste much less of it continuing to tell folks what a fraud he is as an NFL HC.
I've reinvested some of that time into watching the PENS more often. They don't always win, but the product/game/players are much more enjoyable — I recommend everyone try it.

Can someone please create a space for this at the top of the board and just have it remain there so it can be referred to the next time one of the three Tomlin ball washers that are still here can’t help themselves and wash his balls?
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 82 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

It’s easier to fool someone than it is to convince them they have been fooled.
You’ve certainly been trying for many years now.

Watching that video is like 10 years of the podcast condensed into 15 minutes.
