So far this has been a great sports day.

For about 49 minutes that was the best-coached Steelers game of Mike Tomlin's career. And actually fun to watch. Is it an anomaly we'll never see again or are they good?

A month from now we'll have a pretty good idea.

They somehow managed to get a big play in the passing game with only one throw downfield, and even that was very quick out of AR's hand.

As I said elsewhere the gameplanning for this opponent was remarkably great, especially for this team. The endgame was vintage Tomlin and very nearly/should have cost them.

MIN's been great because their offense scored enough to keep the other team playing from behind, and PIT attacked right away to avoid that.

I turned the game off at the beginning of the 4th. Had some things to do. Thought they had it in the bag.

A Vikes friend at the game texted me “wow”.

I was mildly shocked.

Right now I don't trust this team and honestly still not sure what to expect from week to week.

We've banked two overall solid defensive performances (despite the yards allowed) featuring two consecutive games of high level DL play and they are getting healthier. On the flip side, Rodgers is a serious upgrade, but they are still maddeningly inconsistent and I don't think this offense has even faced an elite defense yet. They will right after the bye.

I'm definitely on the train if we get past The Browns and Cincy to get to 5-1. The division broke our way this week and we need to take advantage.

Only got to watch the 4th quarter...I'm glad they had some success in this one early because that 10 minutes of classic :Tomlin think" was just tooooo familiar. ONwards!

Amen to that last bit, Swiss!! Whatever I may think of Tomlin, I want the team to win no matter what. I don't dislike Tomlin more than I love the Steelers. The Steelers were here before him, winning games and championships, and they will be here after he goes. We are not guaranteed a tomorrow, so I choose to enjoy the taste of victory whenever I can. Perhaps I have been trained like this from decades of mostly mediocre pro baseball play in Pittsburgh, but it is what it is. Full throat and terrible towel will tons of beer and smokes every game day. No matter what and no matter how the season may end up. Great run game today and a very opportunistic defense! Made Dan Rooney proud, as he looked down upon our victory in his beloved Ireland! Keep the flame going, Swiss. Here we go!!
