I think the more damning thing about this game is that Mike Tomlin built this defense to stop the Bungles. He told the team himself leading up to this game. Why bring in two old and expensive CB's? For the Bungles.
His entire off-season plan failed miserably tonight. Old man Rodgers has a bit more life in him than I thought, but the defensive plan he had? It's a joke and he should be held accountable for it by seasons end. But we know he won't be.
It's only going to get worse as the season goes on.

Fucker brings up the turnovers twice.
As if that was such a huge determining factor.

As soon as I heard him publicly bitch earlier in the week about the Flacco trade, you knew he was going to piss his pants.
He needs to join both Jimbos on the beach in Zihuatenejo.
Somebody do a Shawshank meme to cheer me up.

His ego and NHALS will not let him change
And the owners of this team will not force him to … why they won’t pressure him I don’t know why

I don’t see what the problem is.
I bet the moneyline on the Bengals and tripled my money.
Betting against Tomlin in trap games is practically stealing at this point.
Then add in the short week, and on the road, and it REALLY feels way too easy.
Sure, I’d rather they be competitive. But if they’re not, they might as well be profitable!

We joke that Tomlin lives in his fears, but it’s Art that truly captains the good ship, “we could do worse”
He’s the one that won’t can the dumbass, when his flaws have been visible since 2009
That collapse was like a whole season in one game.
Start out gangbusters, Coach T all up in himself, big tough guy, then completely fall apart and lose in a stupid and incredibly embarrassing fashion.
I didn't see Amazon show a coach's handshake. Knowing how they treat this asshole, they could have noticed he ran off the field and not show that. I

Art is an old privileged coward.
Cowards lie to themselves about the world and eventually live in a glass menagerie.
Eventually this becomes obvious to others so the coward not only lies to himself but everyone else to keep the illusion going.
You see this clearly in British politics where the answer to a very real threat is banning speech and knives and jailing the people who point out the real problem.
Art thinks the problem is that people unfairly criticize his fetish.
He's a cowardly lying manipulative piece of shit.

this is true - but ... he won't even pressure him to change or address the flaws. they doubled down on them this year. rooneys have pressured better coaches than tomlin beforeanpsteel wrote: ↑Fri Oct 17, 2025 10:09 amlolDumlinBumlinStumlin wrote: ↑Fri Oct 17, 2025 4:32 amTomlin has video of Rooney’s drunk and using racial slurs, what else can it be than blackmail

Art- the closest he came was the shot across Cowher's bow after the 2004 AFCCG debacle.
But I got the impression Bill and Art didn't like each other that much.
At any rate, this team only ever reached the pinnacle of success when Dan was around.
When The Chief ran the team? I loved The Chief, but the Steelers were losers.
When Dan ran the team?
6 Super Bowl titles in 35 years (and I don't want to hear the bullshit that Art was running the team in 2008- he was in name only).
Art without his dad? The very definition of slightly above average.
“Yeah we suck, be there is a chance we could suck slightly more if we try to correct the problem.” - Art Deuce (summarized by SteelPerch)
i did say "rooneys"
but ... still no answer
why won't Art and current ownership challenge tomlin in any way ?

Because Art sees nothing wrong with the product. They make the playoffs and make a ton of money.
Why aspire to be great when "good enough" gets you a shit ton of money? Just coast...the franchise prints money

Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 81 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

Austin will be the scapegoat (bc Tomlin always needs one)
They just won't renew Austin's contract. Remember the Steelers NEVER fire coaches with term on their contract.

Another factoid that supports the narrative of the Tomlin mentality.
Historic $179M defense in a offense-favored league.

Austin hasn’t outlived his pathetic usefulness. He’s here until he is committed to a mental institution.
