Here we are….4-2 following a nationally televised embarrassment…..
The Deja vu vibes are strong
So how are we feeling Fury members?
Me? I think we go 8-9 or 9-8 and miss the playoffs.
This team is lucky to be 4-2. Yes we could have beat Cincy. Yes the game could have turned out differently if the Ghost of Barry Foster didn’t appear vs Seattle.
But a Boz 60 yarder to win it against a shitty Jets team led by a QB just benched was absolutely lucky
Beating NE as they made our D look fucking stupid by winning the TO margin 5-0 was lucky.
We are a mediocre football team.
Translates to slightly above/below .500 season

Let’s hear what you think will happen.

They certainly were outplayed vs the Jets. Ball bounced our way with that kick off fumble... and yeah a 60 Yarder from Boz with 63 seconds left to bail us out again.
Seeing how well New England has played this year.
And how they outplayed the Steelers... we play again without getting 5 turn overs...?
They were outplayed vs Cincy.
They gave up 33 points and 482 yards vs Cincy. 27 first downs. 76 plays 34+ minutes in t.o.p.
They NEVER made 2nd half adjustments.
They did not deserve to win.
Out schemed. Out play called. Out hustled. Out coached, etc. In 4 of 6 games. It's been the standard the last 4-5 years. If the other team does not make mistakes.... we lose.
This team could easily be 2-4.
11 games left.
Still have Bengals part 2 at home. Browns again. Dolphins. Those should be 3 wins. Go 2-6 in the other 8 games.
They go 5-6 rest of way and finish 9-8

They got teams that could really make Coach T embarrassed.
I can see a late season slide, win the Fins game then a series of massive trounces. Gibbs rushed for 400 yards today I think. Sewell was obliterating the Tampa D.
Pack L
Colts L RIP Jim Irsay
Chargers L Harbaugh will know what Coach Mike is "planning"
Bungs L
Bears L Benny Johnson will dial up some shit that will make Coach T's brain ooze out his ears
Bills L could be close, Bills have been inconsistent. Josh Allen could throw for 500 though.
Ravens W they are a mess
Fins W an even bigger disaster, no one wants to play there, McDaniels, keep him away from sharp objects and rope
Lions L Could we see a 1000 yards gained in a single game, could happen here.
Browns W they dont give a shit either, Garrett is a douchebag, only plays when he's mic'ed up, Huge cunt.
Ravens L Lamar's back and ready for action, Henry's ready to fumble but it wont matter

I don't really know...how many turnovers/INT's/fumble recoveries can they muster? LOL..as some of us seem to agree on, they have to sin the turnover battle to have a chance. I don't see this team doing a lot of magic shows the rest of the way. I thought at the start of the year that it could be a disaster one in the making, even with Aaron Rodgers at the controls. But at 4-2 already, they'll find a way to muddle through. I'm going with 9-8 like you. Maybe that will put the voodoo/Marie Leveau jinx on MT and he'll finally fall below .500...Rodgers is an ancient mariner with an Oline that isn't exactly pro bowl material in front of him. ONe injury to him and then we may lose a lot of games down the stretch. Watching Detroit tonight was a mistake..lol..What a team..what a coach..and "next man up" actually works in Motown..

They will pull off 4 more wins. It is their SB. Even in your scenario, they will play balls out in the final game to get NHALS.langer wrote: ↑Tue Oct 21, 2025 2:28 amThey got teams that could really make Coach T embarrassed.

They win between 4 to 6 games out of the remaining 11
The caveat - they could go on a season ending slump starting this week
I don’t think they’ll lose out, because they play the browns and dolphins who are both terrible and their organizations are essentially giving up for draft position

I've seen this movie before.
Rodgers isn't Pickett, Mason or Duck. He most certainly ain't Trubisky.
Also, the defense was embarrassing vs the Bengals for sure, but they aren't going to be embarrassing against everybody.
It simply isn't going to happen. Flacco knows Tomlin better than Tomlin knows Tomlin and Flacco knows Cool Shades' defenses better than anybody.
We aren't going to be facing Flacco every week.
Even some of the really good teams and good QB's to come, they are going to lay eggs against the Steelers.
Rodgers and the offense is getting better and better. The defense will have bad games and good games. Some REALY good games for sure.
The doom and gloom predictions for the rest of the season.....it just ain't gonna happen. They'll win at least 10 games then, who knows?

Yep, 9-10 wins total. Tomlin has mastered the art of turning regular season games into coin flips, and thanks to Bos and TJ winning just over half of them.anpsteel wrote: ↑Tue Oct 21, 2025 12:53 pmThey win between 4 to 6 games out of the remaining 11

Probably accurate. Except for the last “who knows” part.K_C_ wrote: ↑Tue Oct 21, 2025 2:26 pmI've seen this movie before.

We all know how overmatched Jibba Jabber is once in the playoffs.
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 81 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.
Obviously, the caveat is that Aaron Rodgers is healthy come playoff time, but if he is, Tomlin would have his best QB since Ben was in his prime.955876 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 21, 2025 5:19 pmProbably accurate. Also, for all the shit Arthur Smith has taken (and I've given him plenty) he has begun attacking more and really seems to know how to set defenses up for failure. I cannot complain really at all about his play calling or gameplans.
Health, for every team in the NFL, is key. Some teams are going to lose their most important players as this season goes on and if the injury bug hits the Steelers hard and they lose stars like Rodgers, Metcalf, Watt, Heyward, etc. then they're fucked.
If the Steelers are healthy come playoff time, with Rodgers under center the Steelers most certainly have a shot to beat anybody.

Every now and then I get similar (fleeting) thoughtsIf the Steelers are healthy come playoff time, with Rodgers under center the Steelers most certainly have a shot to beat anybody.
Then, I remember the defense is still lead by Tomlin, SCam, and Low Watt.
No shot they do anything in the playoffs.
Literally NOTHING has changed on that side of the ball.
If anything it's gotten worse.
Nick Markakis on Astros: "Every guy over there needs a beating."
Hey, I'll settle for just scoring - even a FG - in the first quarter of a playoff game...
If Rodgers stays healthy, there's a chance!!!!

We all know this will end with 9 or 10 wins.
Some weeks they will crap the bed against inferior opponents and others they'll play well against better teams. If they happen to run off a few wins in a row, we know they drop the next few regardless of who they play. Conversely, if they lose a few, they'll win some improbably games to get back around .500 and preserve NHALS.
The mystery isn't around what the final number of wins and losses will be, it all about how they get to 9 or 10 wins. That's where the surprises will happen.

Hopefully 4-13
We aren’t that blessed. Will win more than that.
I’m hoping we at least finish behind both the Bungs and Rats after we were anointed division champs at 4-1 gs the 1-5 Ravens and a Bunghole team that lost their starting QB.
Not winning the division now will put plenty of egg on Jibba’s face.

I’m mostly expecting the annual right of passage that is, getting dog walked in the first round of the playoffs955876 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 22, 2025 1:19 amWe aren’t that blessed. Will win more than that.

As Halloween approaches, I'll share a real horror story:
Steelers sitting at 7-5, have some buzz as a "contender" and "sleeper". Injuries to Watt and Rodgers see them end-up 8-9 and no playoffs.
But they were right there! Just bad luck with injuries! Therefore Deuce does the logical thing with extensions all around to keep the band together for this "new championship window".
So DO NOT root for injuries to derail this season. That's like saying Beetlejuice 3 times (see what I did there?)

I actually want this as Jibba will join the illustrious Marvin Lewis as the most PO losses in a row. I want Jibba in that conversation.anpsteel wrote: ↑Wed Oct 22, 2025 12:38 pmI’m mostly expecting the annual right of passage that is, getting dog walked in the first round of the playoffs955876 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 22, 2025 1:19 amWe aren’t that blessed.
