It's Weidl all day, every day
He is the evaluator

Do you hire a new coach and allow him to choose a GM?
Do you hire a new GM and allow him to choose a new coach?
Really hard to say.
Typically when you change regimes you bring in all new recruits from FO to Coaching to players….
I don’t see that as a reality right now.

If I have to choose, it's Weidl, but I'd rather a fresh start, with a fresh Rooney to boot. If that changeover isn't accomplished, it's going to be more of the same.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
Not sure it's fair to blame either of these guys.
They have been given orders by Tomlin and/or Art and they're merely executing.
The ingredients aren't bad. It's the chef and the environment that is toxic.

I think Weidl could be a good talent evaluator once decoupled from Khan and Tomlin.
Looking at the roster, there are maybe 10 young players to build around. They need to flip about 43 players in the next few years in addition to HC, OC and DC. It’s a total rebuild and not trading Tomlin when they had a chance is the biggest failure of all.

It still strains credulity for me that, when it really came down to it, an NFL GM, with NFL ownership signing off, with access to all the research materials available, would have actually given up assets for Tomlin at any point in the last 5 years.

1st and foremost and above all else and by all means necessary KEEP our HOF HC Mike Tomlin.

Secure NHALS early and then go deep into the PLAYOFFS.

Weidl for me
