I get you are rooting for losses and that’s fine but that was no catch. I’m sure we’ll see GIFs later but the ball was moving when he landed.tbsteel wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 6:27 pmNope. It wasn't moving when he hit the ground. It was fully secured with his knee down in bounds when he he the ground. As he continued out of bounds, the ball moved in his hands SLIGHTLY but he never lost control. Control of the ball was maintained therefore = a catch.

Secure NHALS early and then go deep into the PLAYOFFS.

Yep, Echols has solid season.
Yeah Romo, that looks like an explosive Lamar Jackson right there.
They seem quite optimistic today!

If you go to the ground- you have to survive the ground and maintain control throughout

Team is fired up today. It’s a shame Tomlin has to hear chants to fire him in order to get aggressive

The Steelers seem to be playing at a motivated level

I'm telling ya....he's got a good post-NFL gig lined up randomly showing up places jogging
Tomlin got down on his hands and knees last night for Watt and begged him to save his job, otherwise both of them would be unable to steal paychecks.

Meanwhile in Buffalo: Bengals up 14:3
From the NFL rulebook:anpsteel wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 6:31 pmThat’s not the ruletbsteel wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 6:27 pmNope. It wasn't moving when he hit the ground. "A player who makes a catch may advance the ball. A forward pass is complete (by the offense) or intercepted (by the defense) in the field of play, at the sideline, or in the end zone if a player, who is inbounds:
(a)secures control of the ball in his hands or arms prior to the ball touching the ground; and
(b)touches the ground inbounds with both feet or with any part of his body other than his hands; and
(c)after (a) and (b) have been fulfilled, clearly performs any act common to the game (e.g., extend the ball forward, take an additional step, tuck the ball away and turn upfield, or avoid or ward off an opponent), or he maintains control of the ball long enough to do so.
Notes:
1. Movement of the ball does not automatically result in loss of control.
***
The slight movement by the WR was deemed to not have been a loss of control.
It was a catch and you all are wrong.

Don’t the ravens remember that if you fake the handoff watt will just pounce on him anyway?
I don't think he ever had clear possession and you'll probably see it called the opposite way in another game later today.anpsteel wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 6:31 pmThat’s not the ruletbsteel wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 6:27 pmNope. That said, I forgive you for it because they've fucked with the rules constantly, but you actually do not per the rulebook have to survive the ground any longer.
It's a sad indictment of the league that fans who watch every week can't even keep track of this shit at this point.

These are legacy games for Rodgers. Maybe he plays again next season, Pittsburgh or elsewhere, but he has to leave it all on the field now and not let final performances factor in at all to that decision.Texas Black & Gold wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 6:32 pmThe Steelers seem to be playing at a motivated level
looked like everyone made sure everyone knew Arod's check on that play

Quite a play by Rodgers and Austin.
We have no idea what to do in these situations. We do not realize we need to get to the ball on snap.We do not realize we shouldn't be changing personnel and allow the other team time to change personnel
