I don't think any team should ever punt on 4th and 1 between the 40s any more. Well, maybe if they do something about all these 60+ yard FGs

If Zay Flowers was awarded a catch, Austin should have been too. Ball never hit the ground.

Not only that but the Rats get their to back
Secure NHALS early and then go deep into the PLAYOFFS.

How did he not catch that. Jeezus. Could not have been a better throw.

Stop being a homer. Flowers had clear possession in bounds with a knee down before the ball moved. Austin let the ball slide between his hands and never secured it until both feet were out of bounds.
Looks like the < 10 points in the first quarter streak will remain intact.
Historic.

We’re getting fucked today.

Peezy jr with another DPI.
Why did Rodgers subject himself to this mess? Dude should be enjoying himself. Instead he’s spending the final year (probably) of his career surrounded by morons and he’s obviously hating life.

Bullshit. The ball was moving when Flowers landed. No catch. Same thing with Austin. Ball was moving but never hit the ground. If Flowers play was a catch, so was Austin’s.Steelperch wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 6:41 pmStop being a homer. Flowers had clear possession in bounds with a knee down before the ball moved. It's a surprise when teams DON'T get 6+ yards rushing against us

He gets more weak PI calls than anyone in the league.
Glad he got in Tomlins face

Austin never secured the ball. It went right through his awful little hands.K_C_ wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 6:43 pmBullshit. The ball was moving when Flowers landed. No catch. Same thing with Austin. When did our fans become such crybabies?
*roots for losses*
Yep. It was more of a catch than Flowers’.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 6:42 pmNot enough replay. He did get control and was still falling. I thought they dismissed it too quickly as not a catch.
Did he pinch it in his lap before his ass hit? CBS didn’t show enough of the replay.

Nope. It wasn't moving when he hit the ground. It was fully secured with his knee down in bounds when he he the ground. As he continued out of bounds, the ball moved in his hands SLIGHTLY but he never lost control. Control of the ball was maintained therefore = a catch.
If you go to the ground- you have to survive the ground and maintain control throughout
That was not a catch
"A player who makes a catch may advance the ball. A forward pass is complete (by the offense) or intercepted (by the defense) in the field of play, at the sideline, or in the end zone if a player, who is inbounds:
(a)secures control of the ball in his hands or arms prior to the ball touching the ground; and
(b)touches the ground inbounds with both feet or with any part of his body other than his hands; and
(c)after (a) and (b) have been fulfilled, clearly performs any act common to the game (e.g., extend the ball forward, take an additional step, tuck the ball away and turn upfield, or avoid or ward off an opponent), or he maintains control of the ball long enough to do so.
Notes:
1. Movement of the ball does not automatically result in loss of control.
***
The slight movement by the WR was deemed to not have been a loss of control.
It was a catch and you all are wrong.

I'll admit it. I don't mind Austin as a returner

He was still in the process of of securing the ball while in bounds. A ball that moves after he hit the ground while in the process of completing the catch does not equal security.tbsteel wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 6:34 pmFrom the NFL rulebook:anpsteel wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 6:31 pmThat’s not the ruletbsteel wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 6:27 pm

Flowers looks like shit even with the non-catch catch.
