Wait until they make the trade for Kyler Murray

Then Howard and Rudolph can back him up
I’d rather have Malik Willis.Steel Ubaldo wrote: ↑Fri Jan 16, 2026 7:16 pmWait until they make the trade for Kyler Murray![]()

And I want no part of Malik Willis!
Gruden loves Howard! In fact, I saw a video of Gruden finding Howard just to talk to him. The episode of his QB University with Howard is a good watch.
I want to like Howard. He's gritty. He's a competitor. He has a short memory. But, his arm lacks some zip to me. I'm just worried he won't be able to get it through NFL windows.
.Going into the season with Rudolph as the starter is worst case scenario
True.
He'll be 31 when the season starts.
Give me 10-12 starts from Howard.

I want them to hire a head coach that will know immediately if Howard is worth a piss or not. The HC and OC. This is the new era. We need to hire intelligent coaches that know talent and know how to evaluate. Don’t mess this up Kahn.

All those were said about Tom Brady in 2000 when he was drafted. Not saying that Howard will turn out to be like him, but I'll take an intelligent, gritty QB any day over an uber talented QB with limited brains! Just sayin' Id like to really see what he has. He was throwing dimes in his run to the college championship - not every QB could have won those games like he did even though his team was stacked. Still gotta read the D and know where to go!
