Like, Art II is the only one to allude to family playing a part in Tomlin's decision to step down. Aren't Mediocre Mike's kids like fully grown at this point? Kind of indicates issues with the wife or if you are being real charitable it's about wanting to be with her more and nothing else.

The rest of the media is not touching a story on this about Tomlin. So if it's part of the story, I'd love to know. Because it definitely does tell us things about the inner workings of the Steelers. Telling people on a message board with no real connection to Tomlin not to discuss it out of propriety is ridiculous to me and I'm sure someone like Jeems doesn't want to discuss it for similar reasons as the media.

Anyway, if it's true I'd buy her a beer. Not to sleep with her but for finally killing Tomlin's tenure. Maybe she's one of Steelerfury's own who took one for the team?

dont attack me. I am just showing what's been circulated on this salacious rumor. It's coming from Whitlock and others but this appears to be the source

I am glad he's gone, if you will!!

Lets just say i hope it's not true. There is the DR J, tennis player out of wedlock child when Erving banged a reporter in 1984, that came out in the early 2000s

And on social media are now circulating the rumors he got a 20 year old bartender pregnant.

Why is there a segment of the Pittsburgh fanbase that insists on doing this?

Just like with Kordell and the Schenley Park rumors.

Just let people go, for God's sake!
I don't know, maybe because it may be true despite making you feel uncomfortable to discuss?
Even if it is true, it's none of our fucking business.

It's being spread to be vindictive and nothing more.

We are sitting here debating whether Tomlin was fired or stepped down. There's rumors related to it and even the angle that it was a contractual violation and you want us to ignore it entirely? Like it or not it's going to be a quiet part of this whole story and I guarantee more than few of those "insiders" know whether it's true or not and just don't watch to touch it and risk tarnishing Pope Mediacritous's legacy.

And I'm sorry but I don't really feel the need to run cover if Tomlin did cheat with some dopey bartender.

Saying there's nothing but vindictiveness behind it is asinine.

If it was starting to be spread in October, it's vindicitveness.

Spilling tea about inside the locker room is one thing.

People's personal business is their personal business, and it should stay that way.

It's not like Tomlin has his finger on the nuclear missile launch buttons or something.

Yes, it has been reported that teams have already reached out to Tomlin and have been rebuffed.
Any actual names or GMs on the record, or is this more of Tomlin's media buddies claiming "anonymous sources" said he's in demand but doesn't want to coach?

LMFAO why would they need to be anonymous, especially if they're one of 6-7 teams with an opening currently?

no extra salacious story was needed - he was fired/retired because he failed for a decade in his role as HC of the Steelers

Have little doubt now he was fired
And it was a bit sad, but come on …these repeated statements that nobody saw it coming are disingenuous and a bit of a give away
Tomlin himself said it to start that meeting … there are consequences for failure
Ronde Barber, who is reportedly as close to Tomlin as his family, was interviewed and said Tomlin told him before this season had even started that it would be his last.

Barber also believes Tomlin is 100% done coaching.

Permanently.

I’m down with this. He’s got no motivation to keep slamming that brick wall. Escape with some dignity intact and dodge the incoming salvos of why his last 10 years was manufactured nonsense

Lol. Swiss is all over the place.
Let's be clear what Swiss said...emphatically. I DID say he would be coaching the Steelers next year. That turned out to be incorrect. Where I will be correct, and reference to where you're quoting me, which I posted AFTER he stepped down, is that he would not be coaching another team next season, with my basis being Schefter's emphatic statement s on this.

I've also said repeatedly that "Mike Tomlin ain't going nowhere until Mike Tomlin wants to." I still believe this to be the case despite the speculation of all you asshats, your analysis of what the douchebag Art II said, didn't say, etc." Dude wasn't fired.
Chastising asshats for speculating as you speculate to your previous speculation
My Speculation …. Dude was fired … he has done a poor job for over a decade and had the current roster in very poor shape.
He sold his soul this year to win one playoff game and Rooney foolishly agreed to let him screw our roster for what was the inevitable end … the Plan failed not the Players
Rooney just wiped the coaching staff clean
Here some real speculation …. Rooney is pissed, he likes money and some semblance of success. The roster changes this year, cost him money, lost him talent and then on his Home field they were embarrassed, after 6 previous playoff embarrassment - - not close hard fought losses … ass kickings … and the coach was booed. He gave them leeway and money and believed their BS story and the SAME thing happened again and his roster has some salary problems now.
This is what I believe also, Gonzo. It has precedent with this ownership. But yes, it was his last shot and once gone, he was. It was preordained, and maybe he is good with it, but the impetus came from above. There were some flags earlier in the season, some reporting that Rooney seemed different when the Steelers collapsed to 6-6, more impatient, more upset than ever before seen. I also know he was really pissed to hear the chants and have all this coaching unrest with the draft in Pittsburgh coming up. He pulled the trigger. No doubt.

Rhonde Barber is also part of the Tomlin PR team so I take this with a huge grain of salt
