Bears releasing Tremaine Edmunds?

Post by Steelafan77 » Fri Mar 06, 2026 4:20 pm

I believe Edmunds is a worth while [about to be] F/A LB.

Should the Steelers kick the tires on him? Discuss.
Bears are releasing former Pro-Bowl LB Tremaine Edmunds, per sources. Edmunds has been a full-time starter in each of his eight NFL seasons, and he now will become a free agent with 900 tackles on his resume

Thinks he’s a 3-down LB
Best used as a downhill early downs LB
Not good at either.

Tomlin would crawl the length of the Squirrel Hill Tunnel covered in broken glass to get him!

Yep

Tomlin had wet dreams over drafting both Edmunds brothers

Now I’d say that both are quite washed.

I think the draft offers a variety of linebacker flavors but the Steelers being the Steelers they’ll go bargain basement free agent shopping to patch as many of their many holes of possible.

In their mind, they then don’t have to reach for need in the draft.

Soooo done with K-H-A-N (he’s not a hot dog) and the Steelers approach to roster building (Weidl no prize either).

We dooo what we do

And what we do isn’t near good enough.

Tomlin is just the first (big) domino to fall

A2 is going nowhere. He’s already said that like his father, and grandfather before him, he isn’t going to retire. As long as he’s breathing, he’s going to have his hands in the pot.

Also, he/they aren’t selling…that’s just funny to suggest. The Rooney’s have always owned the Steelers, and they always will own the Steelers!

What I was about to say. I'm less worried we'll waste money here with Mike T gone.
