Why does anyone give a fuck that Tomlin made an appearance at this event?
Maybe you forgot, he never gave any public farewell. O my scripted words read by the Steelers
Very odd and not the norm for a Steelers coach
It is very odd. I guarantee he was bitter bout the booing and a media that finally (and rightfully) turned on him.
Just tucks tail and vanishes like a coward.

Idiots = fans who could see through the bullshit
Those comments....what a bunch of knob gobblers. It may just be me, but I find it incredibly strange to man-crush on an NFL HC.
No, you are right. I never understood the blind and unwavering love for Tomlin. It reminds me of the Kordell days.

Likely comes down to those that hardcore watch the national football media and those that don’t
Most that post here most likely don’t watch much of it (if any) because they know those chuckleheads are full of shit.
Those that watch believe they are hearing the opinions of real experts. Those lemmings got indoctrinated (fooled) into believing how great Tomlin is when he wasn’t.

i wonder how much ‘baby momma situation’ is influencing his public speaking.

These pictures bring me joy. Joy that Tomlin is no longer in charge of this team.
Also that he will not have anything to do with our next QB.

The winningest coach in the history of the league.
"I'm institutionalized, man," he joked. "I gotta have it. I just love the challenges week in and week out that this job provides: the growth in it, the collective growth, the individual growth."

TV Tomlin maybe coming
Mike Tomlin hires agents for TV work
By Mike Florio
Published March 24, 2026 07:57 PM
Former Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is moving closer to taking the TV plunge.
Front Office Sports reports that Tomlin has hired Sandy Montag to represent the 19-year head coach in his consideration of roles in television.
Montag and former sportscaster Alex Flanagan will represent Tomlin. He’ll surely draw interest from every NFL broadcast partner. The ultimate question will be fit — and finances.
Montag represented the late John Madden. Tomlin could have a similar impact, frankly. He speaks in compelling and memorable sound bites. He’s direct, pointed, entertaining. When he speaks, people listen.
But first, Montag and Flanagan will be listening to offers for the Super Bowl-winning coach who’ll stop coaching for at least a year and maybe longer.

If Tomlin ends up with a television position, which seems inevitable at this point
The only component of his broadcasting that interests me is the potential for listening to him make stupid and inaccurate statements, and then to be proven such nationally
I have no idea if it will play out this way, but the potential is significant
I think once the national NFL world gets to see him for what he is, the luster will wear off quick

People have always said his BS was perfect for TV
He'll have little actual prep and work to do - just show up and read from the teleprompter. Gotta be his dream job - he's going to be kicking himself for not doing it a decade earlier!

Christ I feel sorry for those poor bastards, hope they are well-paid.

He will quit after one week because Gronk will anticipate and finish every one of Tomlin's sentences and then spike the ball on him.

While I quit watching the talking heads years ago, it would be NAUSEATING watching Tomlin criticize someone who had the guts to take a risk or innovate in pursuit of greatness.
As long as Tomlin can resist analyzing whether or not it was a good TO, he might carry on this charade for 20 years, too.

Put him and Clark together would be like crossing the streams.

Yep, and nothing could be further from the truth.
He speaks in ridiculous cliches, says nothing of substance, and half of what he utters is meaningless drivel.
His BS would work if he were a politician or a used car salesman.
He’s a moron that somehow pulled off one histories greatest con jobs!

What is the difference between "obviously, the standard is the standard"
and
"you're fucked up and your shit's all retarded"
they're both stupid but one is funny and entertaining

He could set a world record for "obviouslys" during a game.
"Well Mike, you know, obviously that when you see the formation packages that align with your schematic, obviously the matchup will be in your favor."

So do I.
But I might actually tune in just to hear what kind of bullshit he’s spewing. Should be good.

You know, there's a whole generation that grew up watching football without Madden.
Tomlin can totally re-make some classic Madden-isms:
"usually the team that gives up less points wins the game"
"the defense should expect a pass here....unless it's a run"
"you can't have a losing season unless you lose a lot of games"
and one that's unchanged: "In all the years that I've been in football - I went directly from coaching to broadcasting - I never really had a lot of experience watching it."

Here's a dilemma:
you have to listen to Mike Tomlin as an analyst
but they fire Ryan Clark to give him a spot
