Technical Issues—Hope to resolve today

The situation for this board long term has a few kinks to it. We are on a lgacy plan, meaning that as long as I keep renewing the hosting they will continue to offer a lower-rate plan... but with limited ability to upgrade and take advantage of many of their support tools.

The only way to truly modernize the site and get modern support is to pay a lot more for the service.

Dang, I'd love to have a pretty site like some of the other steelers sites have. It looks this way because this kind of a message board is old-school and hasn't really been updated as times change and people move away from this classic message board. Ideally, I'd have the site be at least as user friendly as https://www.reddit.com/r/FirstTimeHomeB ... 99999_399/

if not like https://www.behindthesteelcurtain.com/feed with both a news page and a community page/message board.

Where it stands now is that the site more or less almost pays for itself through the ads but bumping up to a more expensive hosting would be not insignificant in terms of my out of pocket. Some of the years I haven't had an issue paying more but finances are very tight in my household currently, as they are for almost everybody.

I'm trying to see if the provider will give us some kind of discount that would make the upgrade doable, but no good news yet.

Time to get the donation button out and a new thread to ask the community here to help out.

Not sure if it’s prudent to post total needed but I have no idea what the cost is to upgrade to a new improved board with bells and whistles.

Post what’s needed for each level of upgrade?

Close donations after a certain date and time in the near future. See what’s else if anybody needed, go from there?

I support any option above and I’m sure any other option that helps B2B run this site. I love this place and have for over 20 years. This is my go to site for Steelers news etc. I want to help keep it that way.

I appreciate all the offers of assistance-- we're still trying to figure out what the problem is.. Have moved on to the third circle of hel- Er of tech support. Will keep you all posted.
