Between Free Agency, trades, and the draft the Steelers have most of the big holes filled. Provided Calvin Austin is healthy and Diontae Johnson bounces back in a contract year, they have a nice starting three. But those are some fairly big question marks, considering Austin had a foot injury and hasn’t set foot on an NFL field and DJ is, well, DJ.
I’d prefer to change the OC, the coach’s mentality about offense, and probably the QB but to the glee of @K_C_ , you have to ensure the weapons and the OL are good to give both OC and QB every chance to fail/succeed.
This guy is a little off the draftnik radar but it’s more a function of some shaky QB play and his team not utilizing him enough.
I believe he has even better than advertised speed—runs just fast enough that even fast guys don’t catch him—he can work deep routes, but also intermediate out of the slot, and is perhaps the best screen/jet sweep, end around guy in the draft. People will focus on those skills but the selling points on him vs other fast guys available here: he’s not small at 6022 196lb and he has fabulous hands. Not many WRs in the draft have speed, size, & hands.
With the 120th pick of the 2023 SteelerFury Board Mock draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select:
Malik Knowles, WR, Kansas State

With the 129th pick in the 2023 SF Board Mock Draft, the Denver Broncos (via DAL) select Trey Palmer, WR, Nebraska.
Yes, you saw that correctly - the Denver Broncos are once again doubling up on WR selections this year. With questions surrounding the health of speedster KJ Hamler, Denver needs to add another deep threat to give Sean Payton's offense the juice it needs to go with the beef.
Denver's picks to this point:
3.65 Tyjae Spears, RB, Tulane
3.67 Cedric Tillman, WR, Tennessee
3.68 B.J. Ojulari, EDGE, LSU
4.129 Trey Palmer, WR, Nebraska

With the 139th pick in the 2023 SF Board Mock Draft, the Denver Broncos select:
Mike Morris, DL, Michigan
After a disappointing performance at the NFL Combine, the Broncos jump at the opportunity to develop some raw tools. With the departures of Dre'Mont Jones & DeShawn Williams, the Broncos add some depth along the Defensive Line. Although Morris played considerable snaps as a stand-up guy, new (and returning) DC Vance Joseph will likely ask Morris to put on a few pounds for his next role in order to rotate and mix/match with last year's surprising rookie, Wisconsin's Matt Henningsen.

Current Draft Picks:
3.65 Tyjae Spears, RB, Tulane
3.67 Cedric Tillman, WR, Tennessee
3.68 B.J. Ojulari, EDGE, LSU
4.129 Trey Palmer, WR, Nebraska
5.139 Mike Morris, DL, Michigan

** TRADE ALERT **
Carolina Panthers have agreed to trade pick 145 to the San Francisco 49ers for picks 155, 216, and 253.
---------------
Even though the 49ers brought in Jon Feliciano for center duties, they would be wise to draft for the future (especially in the 5th round of the NFL draft). Looking to Michigan for a future starter, they will find a mauler for the run game in the 2022 Rimington Award Winner and Outland Trophy Winner. At 6'3" and 307 lbs, this pick can help solidify the line for the next 5-10 years.
With pick 145, the 49ers select:
Olusegun Oluwatimi, C, Michigan
--------
49ers picks so far:
80 (via Pitt) Keeanu Benton, DL
107 Mekhi Garner, CB
145 Olu Oluwatimi, C
