I love that I live in your head rent free.

Like this entire team does. You hate watching them so much but can’t miss a second.

Just like my posts. They are all indelibly stamped on your tiny brain.

That…..is a beautiful thing.
We are all enthralled at how you make Kenny Pickett's ballsack shine.

I've actually missed quite a bit of this season. First time in my lifetime where the apathy outweighs any real interest.

That's actually not Kenny Pickett's fault.

You’ve missed some very exciting football.

Stick with Antique Roadshow though.

Some of the stuff in your trailer might be worth a fortune!!

I really struck a nerve pointing out that you used to go by Kill Cowher and bitched up a storm when the team was going to AFCCG because....wait for it....they couldn't seal the deal and win it all.

Maybe you've just gone soft in old age. I've hardly seen you wish cancer on anyone in ages.

Christ this is true for so many miserable ass “fans” here.

Makes me love this team all the more!!
I do find it ironic that all this unbridled optimism is coming from a guy whose name comes from Kill Cowher. I'm glad you have wrapped your football identity around Kenny Pickett and his success. You do it seemingly ever year with some mediocre JAG.

I'm all for debate. I'm all for criticism. And I'm all for calling for change, if needed.

What i genuinely don't understand is the 24/7 misery. This thread is a perfect example:
"Hey! Our division rival and next week's opponent just lost their franchise QB for the season and will be starting a rookie who looked like dogshit in his last appearance"
"Who cares? Don't you remember losing to Mike Glennon in 2014? DTR will probably throw for 4 TDs!"

Holy shit people, does every freaking thread need to be negative? If so, can we direct some of that negativity toward Cleveland? Maybe?

The lemmings aren't the ones defending yet another mediocre Steelers team at all costs?

They aren't the ones looking for excuses for the billion dollar organization that continues to employ Matt Canada as offensive coordinator?

They aren't the ones relentlessly defending a QB who is near the bottom in every meaningful statistical category?

What the fuck does it mean to call someone a lemming again?

Let's celebrate like it's 2021 again! There's a direction correlation between people defending this fraud of a team right now and those who couldn't even enjoy the final moments of a HOF QB's career.

You fucking lemmings will seemingly cheer for whatever crap Tomlin trots out there. I guess I should celebrate that the Steelers will get to face a third string rookie QB and hopefully get another cheap win that will mean NOTHING come January.

It's fools gold. That is, to repeat this for the thousandth time, why people are "negative."

You’re Board Lemmings because some how, some way, despite all logic, in this echo chamber of sheer lunacy you actually believe what you just typed.

It’s sad. Just sad. And I feel sorry for you. I really do.

I'd like to reiterate that the only one actually worked up or dramatic about any of this are the supposed non-lemmings. Most of the rest of us are just scratching our heads and admitting that we are watching a shitty product on the field.

I could go on about you in particular, but I don't care to. You are defending a billion dollar organization that is trotting out a shitty product.

That’s not true and you know it. Rooting for a sports team and being pleased when it succeeds, especially overcoming adversity, is a far cry from blindly defending an organization.

But being upset when your team has success because it doesn’t fit the Lemming narrative that the players suck, the coach sucks, and the organization sucks so we should burn it all down is, frankly, pathetic.

It's a complete strawman to claim people are upset. Especially when the very person you are talking to has described their own emotions quite clearly as apathy.

No one is excited about this team being 5-3 besides the delusional out there and Swiss who just wants to see the team play an extra week at the end of the year.

Who the fuck cares about being 5-3 in November when you already know how the season is going to end? Go ahead and call me Ms. Cleo. You know full well as I do where this season is ending.

Don’t try to educate those who have already made up their mind to be miserable when the season isn’t over yet. Let them pat themselves on the back for being “right” when they went way out on a limb to proclaim the Steelers won’t win the Super Bowl this year.

It's not Super Bowl or bust for this team. But people want to see the things that are going to be the building blocks of real future success and the only ones who can't see they aren't there have blinders on.

No one can actually claim they are seeing enough out of Kenny Pickett and the offense right now to where they have confidence this is going to be a reliable contender in the years to come.

Oh I forgot, he’s “apathetic.”

So “apathetic” in fact, he posts over and over about this team all day everyday.

No I just feel like this means the Browns will commit to the run game and gash the Steelers, rather than pass a lot and play into the Steelers’ hands.

The Steelers own running game is looking pretty good these days. 340 yards on 58 carries and 3 TD's on the ground in the last 2 weeks. Broderick Jones has made one helluva difference.

....and the best way to slow down a pass rush is to run right at it. I think the Steelers can do that and set up play action.

I’m more worried about this game with DTR at the helm than PJ Walker. He’s way more talented.

Am I wrong but wasn't PJ Walker at QB when the Browns upset the Niners?

I thought he looked good in that game.

EDIT: I forgot about the 2 picks he threw.

None of the optimists around here want to go on record as to what they think will happen if this team makes the post-season? Or what they are going to build on in future years given what we've seen of Kenny Pickett? Bueller?

Yea, that's pretty much what I thought. We should be blindly optimistic...because the team has had every break go their way this year.

Besides KC, there are no AFC teams that should scare anybody this season.

Who else is dominant? The 5-5 Bills? The 6-3 Dolphins who haven't beaten a team with even a .500 record, let alone a winning record?

There is a shit ton of parity right now in the AFC. There are the Chiefs and a lot of teams in similar positions.

The season isn’t over yet. I’m not even certain the Steelers will make the playoffs. All the AFC teams are bunched up tight right now and the Steelers have to take care of business. But the Steelers do have a good chance to be playing in the tournament and even have a shot at the division crown. That makes the second half of the season compelling, must see TV.

I’m definitely not going to go full Lemming and just blindly proclaim that the Steelers won’t make the playoffs and then conveniently move the goalposts to won’t win a playoff game when my fervent negativity isn’t looking good.

Hey, I just posted that if this Steelers team wins in Cleveland this weekend, I will likely be favoring them to win out in the regular season. Is that not positive enough?

Hey, I just posted that if this Steelers team wins in Cleveland this weekend, I will likely be favoring them to win out in the regular season. Is that not positive enough?

I was curious, so I looked up what all Houston got out of the Watson trade. I won't detail all the subsequent trades, but here is (essentially) where we stand:

- Christian Harris
- Damien Pierce
- Will Anderson
- Tank Dell
- Kenyon Green
- John Metchie III

The 2024 1st Round Pick was used to move up and grab Anderson, so all that's left for Houston is the 2024 4th rounder.

If Anderson can develop as expected and Green & Metchie can stay healthy, this has the potential to be a Hershel Walker to the Vikings level of lopsided.
