If he wasn't such an idiot he wouldn't have been on the Steelers.

He might have landed somewhere worse but for more money had he been an angel.

Too stone brained to realize he created his own situation.

Dallas did have the idiot TO for a while, so maybe they can deal with his pea brain.

I need a translator.

"They the cheapest organization. Ain’t no stacking year after year they gone let them (expletive) go too soon as it’s time Lmaoo."
They are cheap because they chose to pay DK instead of me. By this logic, the Cowboys will also be cheap by the end of the season.

I'm still thinking this trade is dumb AF. Trading a mega talent going into his contract year, ala santonio holmes...who balled the fuck out!!

Agreed. Be a bit different if they managed to trade him before the draft.

I realize Pickens is a low class, selfish idiot that has maybe a 3 IQ but is he dumb enough to act like a turd in a contract year???

Maybe.

I would have let him play out his contract given they couldn’t do a pre-draft trade.

Plus, they might have been able to get a 2nd rounder at the trade deadline should a co tender be desperate and down a WR.

Hopefully this just makes us worse and helps destroy NHALS.

I also hope Pickens behaves, has a monster year, and makes Jibbs look even more like the stupid mother fucker he already is.
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 81 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

Thing is about this guy...he's perfectly capable of being a fuckin idiot, while simultaneously being spectacular. That's my guess as to what happens. And unlike the dumbfucks who run the Steelers, Jerry jones will be just fine with that.

Pickens is not *that* good to justify the headaches. He is not Antonio Brown and he never will be.

The only team that I'm like I think he'd make sense on is the Chiefs. And only as a short term rental. They took a 3rd round depth piece to boost their trenches. Tell me they wouldn't have been better off adding a borderline #1 WR to that shit room they have.

I don't know what the fuck the Cowboys will accomplish with another WR. They already have a better player with Ceedee Lamb.

Winner and loser on this thing is honestly hard to project.

First year coach in Dallas, not going to see the targets he did in Pittsburgh, about 90% chance he'll be on his 3rd team in 3 years next year no matter how well he plays, all that drama and attention. Those could all lead to problems.

On the other hand, getting to cook against WR2 coverage, having (assuming a healthy Prescott all season) the first competent, stable QB play of his career, these things could lead to a big year, and he knows he's playing for the big contract in the off-season.

It's all between the ears with Pickens, but I don't think keeping him in Pittsburgh would have worked out well at all. Getting the 3rd rounder guaranteed, and next year not the one after, with maybe the prospect of using it as a trade chip to get better at QB in 2026 was conservative, but at least mildly forward thinking. I think they played their hand the best they could.

Pickens is a nutcase. I would have kept him another year if I was trying to compete for anything, but this team isn't. Maybe that reality is setting in even for Tomlin.

With that said, why does anyone think Pickens is going to do well with all the scrutiny the Cowboys get? He was drawing headlines as a Steeler while the team tried to keep his antics under wraps. Now put him on a shitty team like the Cowboys with no real locker room culture , a first year coach, and a constant media spotlight.

ESPN spends the first two hours of every Monday morning talking about the Cowboys. Looking for the negative stories and feeding on them because it sells.

Pickens could actually try to clean up his act, and the media will find shit to report on.

Pickens can only help a team like KC that almost always has everyone else in line.
The surest way to corrupt a youth is to instruct him to hold in higher esteem those who think alike than those who think differently.

I was also thinking Buffalo. They throw the rock around enough to keep him happy.
