Nash “The Polar Bear” Hutmacher, NT, Nebraska...
That's right, “Polar Bear” is genuinely the man's nickname. An NFL Combine snub, Nash was a universally recognized leader as the anchor of that Nebraska Defensive Line. If you're looking for traits, Nash was a 4x South Dakota State Wrestling Champ (160-0), and 3x champion in track and field events (shot-put and discus). Denver has been in need of a true Nose for some time, and while Nash appears to have trimmed down for the Combine process (to which he was not invited), he played at 330 lbs with some regularity, so he'll fit in just fine. Interesting note... Hutmacher's Defensive Line Coach at Nebraska? Former Broncos D-Lineman, Terrance “Pork Chop” Knighton. Welcome to Broncos Country, Nash!
