With our last pick, the Eagles take an excitement on a stick type player, maybe a little undersized, but sure has been a lot of fun to watch on Saturdays for the last few years. Is he a slot? A 3rd down back? A fun toy for the new OC? All three? Don't know, but we say Hail to Pitt (by way of Western Carolina) and select
Desmond Reid, RB, Pittsburgh

Well, THAT was a long wait from pick 146 to pick 246.
At 146, I was deciding between two prospects and lied to myself, 'well. maybe one of them will make it to my next pick'. Of course that seemd extremely unlikely. In fact, in what seemed like every simulator run I did, the player did not make it to this pick. But here we are.
I think the 2026 TE class is pretty dang good. As always, some different flavors, and it's still unclear what Mike McCarthy and crew will be seeking in the TE group. I figured the McCarthy in him will want a pass catcher that can win vs man coverage and the Pittsburgh in him will want someone who can block at least as well as Freiermuth.
Not only is this prospect a pretty fair blocker who shows the willingness to improve, he had an outstanding receiving season for a team that threw to the TE roughly half as often as most cfb teams with good TEs:
TE rec yards (minus screens): 39.1 YPG (11th)
TE YAC 13.8 yards per reception (1st)
Yards per route run: 87th percentile
First Down rate: 83rd percentile
TDs: 5 (5th)
He's got good hands and gets open, but his special skill is taking it upfield after the catch. Good luck to DBs having to contemplate tackling him with a head of steam. I think he'll be a nice complement to the TEs on the roster, making it one of the strongest groups int he NFL.
With the 216th pick, The Pittsburgh Steelers selct:
Dae'Quan Wright, TE, Mississippi

The Mock Steelers are taking this switch to the Texas Coast Offense seriously. We need tools that fit the tasks they will be asked to do.
This player fits the profile of a Mike McCarthy draft choice WR to a T:
Tall (6'3")
Fast enough (4.4)
"Has the footwork to run a varied route tree on all three levels."
He has great ball tracking skills, good hands, and is a former sprinter, so his acceleration is excellent and he uses it to create space.
With the 224th pick in the SteelerFury Mock Draft, The Pittsburgh Steelers select:
J. Michael Sturdivant, WR, Florida

As I said before when taking safety, the Steelers have a lot of bodies in the secondary, but they still have questions at NCB and it even could be said that they have no sure thing long-term opposite Joey Porter Jr. And who knows what kind of money he's looking for this offseason (now that his surrogate father isn't the HC) or if the team will be willing to pay.
Add to that my belief that you should add a CB, a WR, and OL every draft... and CB is on the table.
based on what I said in the preceeding paragraph, I thought it would be best to nab a CB who has experience playing inside and out and you plug the pieces in wherever and however it works.
This guy has a 9.14 RAS score, for what it's worth, and although not big at 5100 185, put up a 4.32 40 at the combine, so he has for real speed to go with great instincts, burst to the ball, and long arms for his size. For his size, he's extremely physical and has no issues mixing it up vs the best targets the ACC & SEC had to offer. He has good production, 5 INTs, 2 pick 6s, 16 passes defended, and a forced fumble in for years of starting power 4 football.
I think the long term fit is as a fiesty CB, but I believe he can and will use that feistiness to stick his nose in as a slot player.
With the 230th pick in the SteelerFury Mock Draft, The Pittsburgh Steelers select:
Toriano Pride, Jr., CB, Missouri

With the 236th Pick in the 2026 SteelerFury Mock Draft, the Green Bay Packers select...
Dallen Bentley, TE, Utah

In an extraordinarily deep TE class - with most on opposite ends of the F/Y Spectrum, Utes TE Dallen Bentley stands out as one of only a few who fall into the category of truly ‘balanced.’ While his run blocking is a work in progress, at least there’s a work to be progressed - as opposed to some others in his class who are explosive, but are little more than glorified wide receivers. On the receiving end? Dallen boasted ZERO dropped passes in 2025 and 5.4 YAC. The Packers can work with that.
2.52 Chase Bisontis, OL, Texas A&M
3.84 Treydan Stukes, CB, Arizona
4.120 Joshua Josephs, EDGE, Tennessee
5.160 Will Lee III, Texas A&M
6.201 DeMonte Capehart, DL, Clemson
7.236 Dallen Bentley, TE, Utah

Pretty satisifed with the way this mock has fallen for the Steelers. I tried to do something difference this year with the big trade up and it was mainly to see as an an experiment what we could still get out of the draft after trading up.
Addressed the obvious needs, and took some players I like more than consensus.. a good time was had by all.
So, with the obvious holes addressed, I decided to add a piece in the middle of the defense. Sonny Styles would be an incredible addition but this prospect would be a nice pairing with him and with Peyton Wilson/Cole Holcomb. Although he's a former safety, he's transformed himself into a 244lb LB, with shades of Brian Urlacher. He doesn't have Urlacher's pro anticipation and instincts, but neither did Urlacher when he was a college player.
If you're a follower of PFF, he had a 76.4 run defense grade & a 79.2 coverage grade, which is pretty well-rounded for a LB prospect. But what he really has is a whole trophy case full of big hits. Like Bud Dupree on Matt Moore type hits. I love the idea of two former safeties who are now north of 240lbs as your starting LB pair.
With the 237th and final Steelers pick of the SteelerFury Board Mock, The Pittsburgh Steelers select:
Kendal Daniels, LB, Oklahoma
