After Goodell's Latest Words, Will A Team Hire Kaepernick?
Re: After Goodell's Latest Words, Will A Team Hire Kaepernick?
Great example Lit. Shit like that is happening all over the country. My hope is that man retains solid legal counsel and either retains his job or receives fair compensation.
Think if he has a family. Now among the unemployed and living on the tax payers dime for doing nothing but driving down the road.
Maybe there is more here and this Hispanic American had Hitler pics in his locker that was uncovered during the company’s ummm “investigation”. Doubt it. And how did they even investigate?
A couple in SF was fired for simply telling a man he shouldn’t be painting graffiti where he was. That it was private property. They also went out of their way to say they completely support the movement he was painting.
So now saying you shouldn’t paint there is worthy of losing a career? Even when you say you support the movement???

I'm not sure it has been mentioned here or not, but it appears CK has a new or additional gig.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 5:15 pmI just want Kaepernick to get a job so posters on this board will stop with politics and other off-topic stuff.

You left out that It was the graffiti-man's own private property. The couple didn't recognize their own neighbor, and presumably believed he didn't belong in that very nice neighborhood because he was black.955876 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 5:13 pmA couple in SF was fired for simply telling a man he shouldn’t be painting graffiti where he was. Not that I think they should be fired for that in any case. But a video of the incident appeared on Twitter, it was an ugly look for the couple, and one assumes their employers took the path of least resistance.
I don't think his comments were outright anti-semitic. He was dumb and stupid in quoting hitler, looking to advance the black cause. But he sure as shit needs to be educated. But what the fuck, he's a football player who probably took rocks for jocks.blu wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 1:35 pmFor DeSean to make outright anti-semitic comments when the owner & general manager of the Eagles are both Jewish is moronic. I am glad that the team's front office & ownership did not overreact & he will get some education & counseling about anti-semitism. Free speech is guaranteed by the constitution but athletes are public figures & should be careful in using hate language.

Way wrong. The man wasn’t black. You left out that It was the graffiti-man's own private property. The couple didn't recognize their own neighbor, and presumably believed he didn't belong in that very nice neighborhood because he was black.
And in the initial video the couple said they know the person that lived at that residence.
The man said he was “from the neighborhood”.
Various subsequent media reports could easily be altered just enough to make it appear that was his residence.
Even if it was his place. There is literally nothing offensive about calmly and politely asking someone not to graffiti there. They might not have standing to ask such a thing but it certainly isn’t something to lose a career over. Especially when they also told the man that we “fully support your movement”.
I don’t have a say over my neighbors home but I sure as hell wouldn’t want them spray painting shit all over it. Regardless of what the message was. Brings down property values.
I shouldn’t be fired simply for asking my neighbor not to do that.

Hahahahaha
I'm gonna concur here. I'm trying to imagine waking up and seeing that my neighbor has spray can broadsided his house with some graffiti mural.

I saw the video when it appeared on Twitter -- it was taken by the graffiti man himself. He identifies as a "person of color," he does in fact live there, and the women was lying when she said she knew who lived there. If you check a picture, he neatly stenciled "Black Lives Matter" on his own retaining wall; it wasn't a matter of wildly spray-painting his house. The original video is mostly the woman, who is extremely patronizing, and who clearly is assuming that the person of color doesn't belong there.955876 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 5:42 pmWay wrong. This article also says that the woman apologized in a statement shared with the local station, saying that she didn't realize how racist her actions were: https://www.sfgate.com/news/editorspick ... 338311.php
I actually agree that getting fired is pretty harsh, and I already said so. Since she is apparently the CEO of a skin care company, I don't know how she would get fired. I believe she lost at least one of her distributors.

I agree, but the only blame here goes to the apparently shitty employer.

Listen, we’re all sports deprived and stir crazy... but if you type the words:
MAGA
Libs/Liberals/republican
Cancel culture
Trump/Orange guy etc
Or try to have a discussion about race at this board that is unrelated to football (where it still would have to be narrow and restricted to the scope of some football specific point)
Or talk about the election
Or specific politicians
Or make racist allusions
Chances are the post will be deleted, the threads locked, the posters banned. I’m at the end of my rope—can’t wait for SOME season to commence.

I hope not. CK sucks at football.
Or you could just let things go until there is a season.
But that’s not my call to make.
Apologies for breaking your rules.

Interesting. Wasn’t even talking with you and said nothing in this post that could be taken as sniveling.
You jumped in whining about something said to you months ago and then say I’m the baby snowflake. Funny.
How bout you do you and I’ll do me. And since you are so concerned about posting content I’ll be sure to monitor yours.
Be sure to keep your shit on point or I’ll be the first to report each and every instance you veer off topic.
We all know you’ll break at some point.

No doubt referencing Poison's modern classic. The musical equivalent of a pink 1988 Camaro convertible with an automatic transmission.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
Ah good catch. However, I wasn’t thinking about the band Poison at all. So pure random coincidence with the wording.
He strikes as the type that’s caught a load or two at some point so was trying to clarify if that’s why his mouth was opened wide.

First concert I ever went to. The amount of hair was breathtaking. The lineup:
1. Britny Fox opening
2. Lita Ford opening
3. Poison
I made my Dad take me. He was a Creedence Clearwater Revival and Janis Joplin man. He must have wanted to claw his ears off.
Let us not forget, however, that Bret Michaels is a legit Steelers fan.

Lita Ford was like every metal heads fantasy back in the day.
Still kind of a lame show Lit...
Ive seen Poison a bunch But always when they were opening for someone else.
My first show was Scorpions with Bon Jovi opening. Nobody even knew who Bon Jobi was because their first album literally came out a like a week prior.

Between the Parliament light 100s and hairspray in the audience and the stage pyrotechnics, that concert had explosive potential.
My dad was not a fan of my Operation Ivy/Rancid/Cali Punk phase. He never went so far as to take me to a concert, but as a guy who defaults to Bill Evans, Ahmad Jamal and Mississippi John Hurt, it would have been painful. We finally got together on the Grateful Dead and Zappa.

So you think because of the comments I've posted you think I enjoy homosexual sex?
Really?
You're dumber than I thought.

I think you seek out arguments with others when not even being provoked then cry about how you get treated after the fact.
We weren’t even conversing. You take something I said to B2B And used it to stir up shit with me.
And you are the one who was posting specifics about male genitalia & foreskin some tine back so how can I know that data wasn’t gathered through first hand, or should I say first mouth experience?
You that bored you needed to solicit a beef with me today ?
