"Always" by Erasure - though that might be a little too hard-hittting and tough for this D.
maybe ... Once in a Liftetime by Talking Heads

so sorry i meant to say the song should stay but the team needs to be replaced. i don't believe the fans hated the song as much as the team
Oh 100%. Fans are fans of the song. It’s lost its luster.steelmann58 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 02, 2025 1:24 amso sorry i meant to say the song should stay but the team needs to be replaced. i don't believe the fans hated the song as much as the team
Especially when playing it for these losers.
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 88 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

At one point in time, even if we weren’t a top tier team we still hoped for the playoffs because you just never know. A team can get hot.
Plus, you knew you were building toward something. A playoff experience even if you do t advance was fuel for next year.
Not with these clowns though. This team ain’t them and there is zero reason to hope for that one extra playoff game.
The worse we are the better at this point.
Change won’t happen with us squeaking into the playoffs only to get slaughtered.

How about 30s of silence with a huge middle finger on the big screen directed at the fans?
"We, as an offensive collective were off today, and certainly, he's a component of that,"

What no one has said or written about the renegade episode on Sunday is that the fucking idiots chose to play it directly after the Steelers failed on the fourth and two at the Buffalo 10. What stupid fucking timing

well, aside from being rickrolled
lots of interesting songs in here
I definitely didn't have Ice in the Wham camp lol
On real options- a few songs not played at every other stadium- and would serve the purpose to get the crowd wound up

I'll go with Free Fallin' by Petty.
Works all year round but just means more when it coincides with Tomlin's mid-late season collapses.

What Swiss doesn’t get is that wins and playoff spots = Jibba’s tenure here being extended.
This team absolutely will move on from him if current results & booing continues.
Maybe not this year. But it will happen. As dumb and complicit as the Dunce Art II is he won’t allow this to fester into perpetuity.
So you keep cheering on these meaningless wins and hoping for your one extra game playoff appearance.
That’s all you are ever going to get though. Mediocre crap seasons with no real success.
And I recognize nothing we “cheer for” changes anything. But when you align with “I’m hoping for that one extra win and one extra game” what you are really doing g is stating that you accept being a bottom feeder team as long as you’d get to watch your Steelers one extra weekend a year.

I actually would be quite pleased to see another blowout playoff 'L' added to Tomlin's "HOF resume".
I'd love to see Tomlin own that record of consecutive playoff losses (which, ironically, he already would if not for a historic meltdown and bizarre ending in that win against CIN).
Didn’t factor that. Forgot he is working on another record highlighting how awful he is..Kodiak wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 10:12 pmI actually would be quite pleased to see another blowout playoff 'L' added to Tomlin's "HOF resume".

What’s worse?
A) losing the division and not making playoffs at all after starting 4-1?
B) Getting blown off the field again in yet another playoff loss?
I dunno.
Nobody will remember (aside from us) him failing to make the playoffs but owning the record for most consecutive playoffs losses will stick with Jibbs for a loooong time.
That would be pretty sweet.

So win the division at 8-9 and get trounced again at home. That pathway not only exists, but it is looking ever more plausible..Kodiak wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 10:12 pmI actually would be quite pleased to see another blowout playoff 'L' added to Tomlin's "HOF resume".

I agree. He'd actually join perpetual loser Marvin Lewis as the only 2 HC that have lost 8 straight PO games. Plus, they would actually get curb stomped again in the WC..Kodiak wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 10:12 pmI actually would be quite pleased to see another blowout playoff 'L' added to Tomlin's "HOF resume".

We've been over and over this '95, and I'm not buying that my wanting to see my team win games, make the playoffs and hosting at home for something a little different… Makes me any less of a fan. So yes, I'll be in front of my TV on Sunday at one reading like hell for the Pittsburgh Steelers to win this game but you know what, even if they lose I'll be here Monday morning telling you about the path to the playoffs and doesn't involve calculus as am and perch Have so sarcastically described. Comes down to this… Steelers split with the ravens and Bengals beat the ravens at Paul Brown stadium next week,, Steelers could once again have inside track to the norf.955876 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 9:26 pmWhat Swiss doesn’t get is that wins and playoff spots = Jibba’s tenure here being extended.

Here's what I will give you though and you're probably not old enough to remember this, but this occurred during my software of high school 1969 season and one win Steelers got their asses handed to them by the winless bears in Chicago. That loss got the Steelers, Terry Bradshaw
Here's what I don't believe, though… Even if the Steelers lose out which I recognized as a possibility… I think both coordinators go, and Mike Tomlin is still prowling the sideline next year. I continue to believe there's no way he's not coaching this team next year.
I get why you in so many others don't subscribe to that line of thinking and root for the Steelers to lose… I won't be joining you though
