That's all I am hearing from the Fan in Pittsburgh. Injuries and Metcalf being the main reason for the loss, followed by Arther Smith and Rodgers.
Kaboly saying if they lose to Baltimore, Metcalf will be blamed for years for this collapse. Also said Tomlin will be back next year, if they lose.
This has to be one of the strangest sporting situations in the world, I can't imagine any coach from any sport surviving this garbage product.
This is literally exactly what I’ve been saying.
Tomlin ain’t getting the blame for this.
Difference makers all over the team are sidelined. That will be the narrative.
Like it or not, the narrative will be that Tomlin took a miserable situation and still ended up NHALS.
KC- don't take this as a personal dig, but I thought you were saying 4 weeks ago this was going to be the end of Tomlin. Did his 3 game win streak end that talk?
Of course that winning streak saved Tomlin but I will admit, I am going to be paying close attention to the media narrative if the Steelers lose that game Sunday night.
I expect that narrative will be; "How is this Mike Tomlin's fault? DK Metcalf's stupidity destroyed an already depleted WR room. Rodgers' second most dangerous weapon after DK, Darnell Washington, broke his arm against the Browns. TJ Watt was rusty and Tomlin did all he could with all these spare parts and castoffs."
"...It's very difficult to keep the line between the past and the present... Do you know what I mean...?"

Can almost guarantee this will be the bogus narrative that is pushed out there.

Can I ask what Coach T was doing when the moron walked all the way over to the stands and did that?
Didn’t he excuse it afterwards.
Fucking inmates running the asylum with the help of the idiot warden.
"I'm institutionalized, man," he joked. "I gotta have it. I just love the challenges week in and week out that this job provides: the growth in it, the collective growth, the individual growth."

Yea I was convinced Tomlin was dead a few weeks ago. But amazing how beating 3 non playoff teams in a row will do to help such a poor man's popularity

You know if Tomlin loses, maybe he does have to step down.
Does the NFL want next year's draft broadcast to be punctuated with boos and Fire Tomlin chants?

This is not conspiracy level stuff, but I truly believe the NFL inserts plants in the crowd to perform/lead chants that are favorable to the team on the clock and/or the host city.

There was a coach or staffer standing next to DK who followed him when he walked over and made a pathetic attempt to stop the interaction.
You could see that in the video.

And it should be rightly pointed out that this is the risk you take when you target squeaking into the playoffs. No margin for error - it's the Tomlin way.

Anyone that believes this poor excuse and blames a selfish player doesn’t know football. Laughable.

One definitely is that Dk screwed this team big time. But it would Also again put this squarely on the 2 year failure of Omar to get this team a quality number 2 WR. But Sammy AR played like a scared Qb yesterday inexcusable

Really don't put this on DK or injuries. They started 4-1, and all they had to do was beat a 3-win CLE team rolling out a mediocre rookie QB and missing a few guys.
This is on Tomlin for allowing the team to even be in this position. But as has been said many times, he's a mediocre coach that puts in minimum effort. Shit like this happens when you're only trying to win 9 games.
