BIG BIG WIN. The refs FUCKED US all day and we still found a way to win. Kudos to Russ who keeps balling in key situations!!!
Best win of the season by far, against a very good and very well coached team.

If I was hesitant about Wilson before, he's the guy. Everything functions better with him in there. He had a tough game and still made great plays and dropped dimes when we needed him. Dude is turning back the clock.
If we can keep our playmakers healthy (come back soon Highsmith!) this looks like a team that can make a run.

The Highsmith loss could be huge if Herbig isn't back right away.
The Preston Smith acquisition looks even better now.

Yeah, I think we dodged a bullett with no flag on Pierre on 3rd down. I also think the 4th down spot was solid
For sure I've seen that called as PI in plenty of other games.
I'll consider that makeup for the safety we should have had with Watt getting egregiously held in the EZ

I watched the game at Roberto's neopolitan pizza in barton, vt...population 700 with a steeler flag hanging outside whenever he's open. Roberto, who is named after Clemente, were only ones watching the game. He's mother-fucking like crazy...had to apologize to his other customers, two girls sharing a pizza. Lol

I predicted 4 wins all year.

That seems like a major miscalculation.

big win - lot of big plays
they should though send a xmas Ham to Zach Ertz as he had a Bad day
They will be bitching about that spot the rest of the season if they go south!
i thought the spot was bad but still short.
ertz looked slow and bad all day … he had two catches on the run where he fell over without any contact and dropped two balls that would have been important or big plays and i thought that was weak ass effort by him at the end

their fans have nothing to complain about - the call was good. and they simply missed big plays at the end several times - daniels missed 2-3 open guys at the end and looked a bit panicked to me
Commanders left some plays on the field for sure

You were just sad about losing Lil Ken’s inability to score TDs.

We beat a team with a good record in their house.

The Russ to Williams completion was big time.

GREAT throw by Russ.

And Williams came thru.

His play clock management is pretty amazing. He is running through everything and that clock turns red on TV and he is still doing stuff and he gets the snap off without making it all look frenetic. Dude has command of the offense like we have not seen since 2018 assuming a couple wasted years with Ben and shitty OC!

I rooted for Pickett just like I did Fields and I am Wilson. I didn't go to Pitt. I went to Indiana University (the undefeated Hoosiers, not the Indiana in Pennsylvania, if that helps.)

It's a novel concept, you know, rooting for a Steelers player (especially a first round pick coming off the end of the Ben years) to succeed.

Crazy, I know.

Also.....something I'll say again for about the 400th time, I didn't want Kenny Pickett. I wanted Malik Willis (which frankly, looks real good. Dude is developing into a real good young QB with serious wheels.) Look it up.

Also wanted Zay Flowers instead of Broderick Jones. Zay is a mini AB and would look real, real nice lined up on the other side of George Pickens. Flowers is why Diontae Johnson will rarely see any targets.

But yeah, I rooted for Kenny Pickett because he was a Steeler and I wanted him to develop/succeed. It didn't happen. Oh well.

Lots of folks hated the Williams trade.

I think they probably like it now.

I found it strange. Williams, when healthy, is a big time WR.

Sure, he's had trouble staying healthy and he's older but those are the kind of players you're going to get for a 5th rounder.

....and Williams still has plenty left in the tank.

I would have hated the trade for a 3rd. For a 5th I was extremely happy with it.

What a beautiful throw and catch that fucking was today.

Williams made a nice last second adjustment to the ball. Looked good tracking the football.

Had CAII not gotten hurt that pass doesn’t go to Williams and we might have lost.

Does Jibbaroo not see that Van Jefferson is at best the #4 on this team?

As I said in the other thread, Austin's injury helped the Steelers win. Austin was having a bad game, and I doubt he catches that pass. Austin needs to step up and show that he's a solid starter and #3 receiver. He hasn't yet.

I have said this from the start with people in love with Warren as the our feature back. He has to big a past of fumbling. That is why I believe inside the 10 you need to have Harris in there the guy a plow and never fumbles
To be fair, Harris fumbled earlier in the drive and got bailed out by a questionable whistle.

Russ has match KP8 TD total from all of 2023 in 3 games
How many games did Pickett play last year?

It looks like we're only counting the games Wilson has played in, but we're counting all 17 games against Pickett.
