Both seem spot on.RemoAZ wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 9:27 pmEver year with Ben the 2nd half of his career. He and the offense didn't start looking good until the 3rd or 4th game. If it's broke, Tomlin just ignores it.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 3:12 pmAnd you watch-- they'll barely play Russ in preseason. They'll trot out Fields and gameplan like it's the Super Bowl.
Then week 1 comes and they'll look lost for 3 quarters while they "get up to speed" and "shake off the rust".

Re: Steelers Training Camp Schedule & Questions
Jones wearing a brace and not practicing much. Not a way to make that position switch.
R. Wilson just throwing 1v1 WRvCB
Back on Backers has the RB room laying some wood and doing some talkin

I am still completely effing stupefied by the way they are handling the situation with Jones and Fauntanu
Both are still rotating at RT, with Moore playing only LT.
You spend 2 first round picks, one of which you traded up for, for a Top Tier LT- and neither of them are playing LT??
Tell me that isn't some serious fucking stupidity
Unless they are intending to trade Moore, I see zero reason for this.
So lets pretend you are going to trade Moore- and the objective is to see, which of the two young guys is best suited for RT, because the other is going to play LT-
That's the only thing I can see that makes sense.... but I'm not sold on trading Moore.
Just mind numbing
anywho- carry on.
My understanding is that Jones has an elbow injury on his left arm and they do not want him to hurt it further but, to your point, it is not looking good to try and jell 2 new linemen and one with a new position.

I take it you're worried

Less. I see camp reports that Jones at LT and Fantanu at Rt is becoming more common. I still think Moore will lose his spot by the end of camp or, at the worst, week 3.
I am a bit more concerned that Frazer is not running with the 1st team more.

I heard yesterday that the LT snaps were split between Moore and Jones so better.
On a side note, news for Titan camp is that Rudolph is showing up Levis and barking about it(at Levis). They do not want to have a QB controversy, but they might.

How bizarre is it that the opening depth chart shows Moore as the Starting LT and Jones starting RT, with Fautanu as the back up LT
Fautanu hasn't taken a single snap at LT, as far as I can determine.
Add to it, Tomlin when asked about this depth chart this morning, said, "it's real."
more head scratching moments... but then again, Tomlin has admitted to bullshitting the media... so I suspect this is Mike T just effing with everyone.
Also, fwiw, Beanie Bishop is listed as the Starting NCB. To go undrafted and potentially be an opening day starter??? How awesome is that.

Uh... that's some bullshit.

Not to say Rudolph hasn't practiced well... but reports are that all three QBs are having a great offseason and camp. Not surprising, because that coaching staff is the bomb.

And Mason Rudolph running his mouth doesn’t sound like…well, Mason Rudolph.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2024 3:26 pmUh... that's some bullshit.

I see they are moving Leal to OLB for his last chance. I just do not see it.

If they can spell their top guys Watt / Highsmith with Leal on run downs where necessary, that would help to keep them and Herbig from getting worn down. All those guys can be dominant off the end, and it would be great if they were always fresh and ready.
Plus they cannot have too many able bodied run defenders to fill gaps on short yardage. Too many teams have been pushing the guys up front around for too long. It'd be great to get back to where short yardage against Pittsburgh was a completed pass or else punt situation.
