What Swiss doesn’t get is that wins and playoff spots = Jibba’s tenure here being extended.

This team absolutely will move on from him if current results & booing continues.

Maybe not this year. But it will happen. As dumb and complicit as the Dunce Art II is he won’t allow this to fester into perpetuity.

So you keep cheering on these meaningless wins and hoping for your one extra game playoff appearance.

That’s all you are ever going to get though. Mediocre crap seasons with no real success.

And I recognize nothing we “cheer for” changes anything. But when you align with “I’m hoping for that one extra win and one extra game” what you are really doing g is stating that you accept being a bottom feeder team as long as you’d get to watch your Steelers one extra weekend a year.
We've been over and over this '95, and I'm not buying that my wanting to see my team win games, make the playoffs and hosting at home for something a little different… Makes me any less of a fan. So yes, I'll be in front of my TV on Sunday at one reading like hell for the Pittsburgh Steelers to win this game but you know what, even if they lose I'll be here Monday morning telling you about the path to the playoffs and doesn't involve calculus as am and perch Have so sarcastically described. Comes down to this… Steelers split with the ravens and Bengals beat the ravens at Paul Brown stadium next week,, Steelers could once again have inside track to the norf.

Here's what I will give you though and you're probably not old enough to remember this, but this occurred during my software of high school 1969 season and one win Steelers got their asses handed to them by the winless bears in Chicago. That loss got the Steelers, Terry Bradshaw

Here's what I don't believe, though… Even if the Steelers lose out which I recognized as a possibility… I think both coordinators go, and Mike Tomlin is still prowling the sideline next year. I continue to believe there's no way he's not coaching this team next year.

I get why you in so many others don't subscribe to that line of thinking and root for the Steelers to lose… I won't be joining you though
Maybe not this offseason. Maybe not the next. Or the next after that.

But Tomlin will be gone at some point. And the more we lose now, and the more dumb & embarrassing shit this team puts on tape, the faster that process will occur.

I no longer care about making the playoffs because I realize there is close to zero chance we win that game.

This franchise has no future under Mike Tomlin. So the more we lose at this point the better.

Anything that further reveals Jibbs as a fraud is good by me.

So go ahead and root for these wins and then celebrate them. To me, it’s a huge waste of time and does nothing but prolong and deepen this team’s misery.

Shit, based on Dunce’s lane metrics a simple playoff appearance might be worth another 3-year extension.

You want that?

Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 88 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

Nope, I get pissed off with every contract extension, but I have less faith in Art II than I do in Tomlin. For 60 years, I've celebrated Steeler wins and mourned their losses. That's not changing now. And...as ridiculous as it might sound, I always expect the Steelers to win. I'm not going to start rooting for losses now, with the unsupported belief that "fire Tomlin" chants, booing renegade for chrissakes, or the supposed impact of hosting the 2026 draft will create the vehicle for a Tomlin exit.

Now, I'll be rooting for the black & gold Sunday, as per usual, and if they lose, will be back on Monday, with a realistic plan for winning the Norf.

9-8 Will win the norf for the Steelers, so long as split the ravens and beat the browns. And oh yes, bank on Mike Tomlin back for '26. Ugh... but it's real.

Back up a one page
Tomlin PC 1/14/25 -“‘Stuck’ is a helpless feeling. I don’t feel helpless,” Tomlin said. “I don’t know if I want to sell you an overly optimistic (tone) either.
