I play in 30 degrees all the. time You're actually going to be hot once you've warmed up and played a couple series, even if you're from a warm climate.. Maybe if your unit has to sit for an extended time you might get cold. 15 degrees or even feels like 15? Different. It's harder to keep your hands warm.955876 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 08, 2026 7:08 amThe 94 Chargers say hello.
So do the 2018 Jaguars.
There are massive heaters on the sidelines.
You are on the field for minutes at a time and then back to the heaters.
I’m not saying it’s not an advantage at all but we are talking about 30 degrees here.
Some of you are acting like it’s going to be 3 degrees.
There is a BIG fucking difference.
Dome team coming North?

Exactly. Especially with those massive heaters they’ll have blowing.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Thu Jan 08, 2026 8:19 pmI play in 30 degrees all the. time You're actually going to be hot once you've warmed up and played a couple series, even if you're from a warm climate.. And if any unit is going to get cold from sitting too long it’s our 3 & out offense.

We're arguing about the fringes here - what really matters is Stroud.
Stroud is a much better player at home then on the road. Whether it's conditions, crowds, hookers, whatever.
Home Stroud Career: 101.2 rating
Road Stroud Career: 85.5 rating
Avg QB at home: 92.9 rating
Avg QB on road: 90.3
And note that his division includes the dome Colts, so he's getting at least one perfect conditions road game each year.
If I remember correctly, his best college game came in the dome against Georgia, where he shredded Drama's bulldogs only to lose on a missed FG. TBH never thought of him a legit pro prospect until that game.
Not sure how the Steelers are going to score, but I'm certainly happy they are going against Road Stroud vs. Home Stroud.

You actually went below the surface and found something that potentially could be meaningful.
Not that pearl clutching “Will we have an advantage because it’s a wee bit nipply out” nonsense.
-3 degrees sure let’s talk.
33 degrees though. These guys are more likely to get hot than be too cold.
Maybe somebody can do a deep dive into how DK Metcalf has performed in 30 degree temps over his career.
He already showed us that he’s incredibly weak minded. The cold is the enemy of the weak minded.
Let’s do a dive there. Because we are going to need him making plays if we hope to advance.

You can raise the question. I just feel that 60 years of experience would mean you don’t have to.
Maybe my expectations are too high.

Seriously, what is so fucking hard to understand about this? People post shit on this website for other people to read and comment on. I hear this issue being discussed on Boston talk radio on Monday, so I put it on the website. After I do that, someone else posts the actual numbers on dome teams coming north. Then someone else posts the record of the Texans kicker outside of the dome. Sorry if you don't think that shit should bev posted here but thats what happened. It obviously generated the fair amount of conversation, which I think is the purpose of this website.
Oh I understand it fully. I just thing it’s trivial given ITS NOT GOING TO BE THAT COLD.
Beyond that, I’m pretty sure you want nothing more than to post another dumb “fuck you haters” thread Monday night or Tuesday morning. Combine that with your overall desire for the Steelers to win and I’ll revert to my previous comment.
That your ass is puckered so tight over this game that if an oyster got shoved up it you’d be able to shit a pearl come Monday.

Here's a fun split: Aaron Rodgers is 65-66 for his career in road games. Even CJ Stroud is 12-11.955876 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 08, 2026 9:47 pmNow see, this here is a good point. I haven’t read the entire thread since I don’t care about weather, unless it helps us win!
Here’s to hoping.
Oh, what does everyone think about the Clowns getting a domed stadium?
I think they’re pussies and I hate it.
