What's your beef?

Post by lifelongsteel » Wed Sep 03, 2014 9:50 pm

With all of the complaining going on, i wanted to survey the board to understand the #1 complaint. Your choices:

A) Ben doesn't have enough weapons
B) Overall talent level not good enough
C) Those cheap ass Rooney's
D) Tomlin game management
E) Offense too conservative
F) LeBeau doesn't play young players
G) Steelers "easing in to" games, seasons, etc.
H) None, we're the F'ing steelers and we ride
I) Other - Write in

Sorry but you can only pick one

I'm going with D - Tomlin game management.

What's your beef?

B, although E and A are fine choices.

A, then E.

As I've said before, I think people are forgetting how brutally bad our offense was the first, I dunno, 8-10 weeks of the season. Record setting offense going on in the NFL and we looked horrendous out there.

I hope to goodness that there were adjustments made, though our offensive personnel but for our RBs don't really get me any more excited than last years group.

I- (but probably closely tied to B) lack of player depth at key positions.

Since it is my site, I'm picking two and my second is another write in: Confidence with overall coaching ability to put together a capable game plan on a consistent basis. This includes HC, OC, DC, ST and OL coaches.

B and H. Sorry.

I think away from qb this team has 7-9 talent. But I think in the current afc, that + qb + coaching can be enough to win the conference. So we ride.

Reposting the list so that people don't have to go back to the first page.

It helps to list the letter and the description

Excellent thread. Here there is no reading between the lines. Love that. I love Fury's answer and agree with it. But since this is not my site I go with "B". I'd like to add that for me "B stands for talent through out the Pittsburgh Steelers and that includes front office, scouting and coaches as well as players.

H all the way baby!

We have holes. We have some weaknesses. It will be up to the men who draw up the plays and the men who execute said plays to show the world that they are better than others might believe.

Let's GO!

I just knew my bro MeanJoe would go H. God bless him, and I'd love to join him, but I have to go with Fury's write-in as well.

H.

To me, this season comes down to how two second-year players perform: Wheaton and Jarvis Jones. If they play well, we'll go far. If they don't, we'll probably suck balls. But I'm ridin

G, "easing in" to games, seasons, etc. I interpret it to include unpreparedness, unprofessionalism & apathy among the players.

I agree with Fury as well, but every mistake Tomlin continues to make is making D more and more impossible to ignore.

Also want to add an I) that someone else mentioned, I don't think we can stop the run consistently
