Didn't say who got cut to make room. Speculated that it is Goodwin.
Camp body, nothing more IMHO.

He'll fit right in in smurfville, although, as a 4.7 guy, he's the slowest smurf going.

That's too bad. I thought Coale was doing well. But since I'm not there to track him every practice I guess he wasn't up to standards. Shaw is 5'11 190 and as pointed out runs like a TE. Not sure where they see this going. Perhaps Coale had some sort of injury and they're trying to get him on PS eventually?

The injury to @Steelers WR Danny Coale was a displaced fracture in a finger that required surgery https://twitter.com/BobLabriola/status/ ... 9235965955

I know I've mentioned it a few times on this board, but stories like this are what makes HBO's Hard Knocks series so great. They tell the stories of these fringe players - the Danny Coale's - just fighting to make a roster or even just put out some good tape that other teams might see. These guys get injured they're toast. You feel for them.
Still bummed the Steelers didn't get selected this year.
