With Bell out of the picture now, are there any FA RBs out there that are better than Ridley that the Steelers should pursue?
How about C.J. Anderson?

CJ Anderson anyone?
Why do we need to sign anyone??
Jaylin Samuels has really started to take to Saxon's coaching and his blitz pickup and pass protection is really starting to develop in leaps and bounds. That is impressive for him to do as a rookie and it was always going to be one of the things that kept him off the field, you have to be able to pass protect even when you are on the field as the 3rd down back.
With the Steelers now comfortable with his pass protection, it has meant more playing time. He had 3 catches for 22 yards and a TD the last game and he has gotten 10 carries the past 3 games.
I am hoping that Samuels will be for us like James White is for New England.
In terms of having that true RB backup who would carry the ball if Conner missed a game, I don't see how Anderson is better than Ridley.
To me the Steelers have a pretty good backup plan if Conner missed time. A combination of Ridley on run downs and Samuels as the 3rd down back makes for a pretty good combination. Much better than years past of having Josh Harris, or Ben Tate or Fitz Touissant.

Anderson seems like a Jag like the 2 we have behind Conner. Shit myself whenever ridley touches the ball that he's going to fumble....but at this point in season he's probably the better option than Anderson since he knows the O.
I'm hoping the TD and playing time for Samuels got him to loosen up. Guy seems a bit stiff. Still hopeful he's a player..verron Haynes type would be a great ceiling.

Anderson didn't look very good to me when I saw him play. That being said he looks better then Ridley probably

Then they can bring back the “shitgun draw” ....
NHALS = NFL purgatory
Stillersisms always a fun memory lane trip.
It's either that or Phil Simms continually calling him Vernon Hayes.

Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
