Hindsight Draft 2020

Post by tbsteel » Sun Apr 26, 2020 1:43 pm

Okay guys, you know the rules. Who would you have drafted at our draft spots instead of the Steelers braintrust? You can't take anyone that was off the board by the time we picked, and you can't take any player we drafted later than the draft spot we got them at (i.e., taking Chase Claypool in the third round).

Just to make the exercise a little more fun, I'll include a trade down scenario. The Seahawks traded up for pick 2.48 from the Jets in exchange for 2.59 and 3.101. Since the Steelers were probably offered the same/similar deal, you can post a second draft with that trade. Here's mine:

Standard:
2.49 - Jeremy Chinn, S, Southern Illinois
3.102 - Akeem Davis-Gaither, LB, Appalachian St
4.124 - Antonio Gandy-Golden, WR, Liberty
4.135 - Kevin Dotson, G, Louisiana
6.198 - Prince Tega Wanogho, OT, Auburn
7.232 - James Robinson, RB, Illinois State

With trade:
2.59 - Jeremy Chinn, S, Southern Illinois
3.101 - Akeem Davis-Gaither, LB, Appalachian St
3.102 - Adam Trautman, TE, Dayton
4.124 - Antonio Gandy-Golden, WR, Liberty
4.135 - Kevin Dotson, G, Louisiana
6.198 - Prince Tega Wanogho, OT, Auburn
7.232 - James Robinson, RB, Illinois State

EDIT: Ended up switching in Chinn for Mims and Gandy-Golden for Wallace.

I'm mocked out at the moment.
Cool thread and I totally agree with #6,
They might have missed on a NFL caliber LT with that pick.
