https://youtu.be/sekz2ptPY2A
I know I started another thread saying I wasn't really excited for the upcoming season with everything going on.
Well Fuck That!!!!!
The last line out of Ashley Roethlisberger's mouth just changed my mind.
Let's go Mother Fuckers!!!! First organization to win 7 Lombardies is fucking coming before Big Ben is done!! Maybe 8!!!

Some reallyu interesting stuff in there.
Can't help but think that Ben ended up with three detached flexors because he kept throwing after the first one broke. We'll never know, but he threw a deep sideline ball with at least one tendon flexor detached. Bad idea! Thankfully, it appears to be fixed and working!

"Chemistry won't be any better.....because Roethlisberger is still there"
"I think Ben is at the heart of Pittsburgh's problems"
Has anyone followed up with these wonderful members of the media for their brilliant takes during the AB saga? This was a great reminder of why I've stopped watching shows like NFL Live and PTI.

Hell yes I’m excited but I also admit that I’m a homer and am pumped every year.
Between this video and the Pat Macafee video a cpl days ago I cant help to be fucking stoked!
Welcome back Rooney!
Now we need a MJD post!
Ryan Clark talking about Bens competitiveness in all that he does just points the needle towards straight North and in my opinion on Ben lighting up the league this year on a huge fuck you tour.
Fuck all the jackwagons baiting for clicks talking about Ben being the problem. Not one of those assholes Talking trash about Ben was right Mor will they retract their moronic statements.
For the love of all thats holy please let there be a full season so Ben can bring #7 to the Burgh.

He was certainly shaking his arm / elbow earlier in the game, before his last throw.
Was shaking his arm and squeezing his fingers, opening and closing his hand.
Thought he may have hit it on a helmet when I saw him do that.
So yeah, may have had a small tear from previous years and that game was the final tear?

Hell Yeah!!! Appreciate the link, I wasn't even aware of this video.
In a different interview, he did say something like he wants to bring home more Lombardi's. Plural.
With you, brother. That got me fired the F up as well! Let's GO!

I'd like to know what the probabilities are that he can rupture or tear one of the repaired tendons.

FromPittWithLove and I had several conversations about this throughout the process. He says typical recovery after this type of surgery is "like new". Maybe there more risk because of multiple attachments, but my amateur understanding is: it seems like he has roughly the same chance of reinjuring the arm as he did in the first place.

Tommy John surgery is re-attachment, and often repair, of all 5 tendons. Ben had no damage and re-attachment of 3. I've heard of a few pitchers having Tommy John surgery twice, but years apart. Ben's elbow will almost certainly outlast his career.
I take that back. Several pitchers blew it out again 2-3 years after their first surgery. But that's the UCL, which Ben had no issue with.

I am not a rocket surgeon but probably lower than a standard non repaired one. You add in 10 months or rehab and his arm is probably in better shape than when he was drafted if not just as good.
I don't know if it will be the first play, but that first series I'm expecting Ben to uncork a 65-yd bomb to Claypool running behind the defense.stillthere wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 8:13 pmI am not a rocket surgeon but probably lower than a standard non repaired one. Not sure where you got this info, but I don't believe it's correct. In Tommy John surgery, it's just the repurposing of a tendon from elsewhere and re-attachment of that tendon to replace the UCL. Has nothing to do with the surgery Ben just had, which is a flexor repair.Kodiak wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 7:22 pmMaybe even less.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 7:10 pm..., but my amateur understanding is: it seems like he has roughly the same chance of reinjuring the arm as he did in the first place.

Ben new Nickname the Bionic Arm
We can repair him. We have the technology...

This might wind up being a blessing in disguise. The defense is actually good now and he is throwing without pain for the first time in many years. Yeah we don't have Bell or Brown but there's still talent there and we didn't win a SB with those guys anyway. Can't wait for the season to start.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”
Got it from one of Ben's interviews. I may have misunderstood...equally likely that Ben misunderstood.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 11:12 pmNot sure where you got this info, but I don't believe it's correct. But you appear to be correct. My bad.

Ben paid to have this fluff piece documentary put together after the media crucified him last year because AB lost his marbles and Bell was a greedy selfish stooge. I doubt it changes any narratives though.
"Thank you....but I don't feel done. I'm not done".
Now...let's not let COVID ruin this season so Ben can prove it.

He shares BR's christian beliefs. He was at Crowder, a christian based rock band with BR in that video. /shrug

Honestly, of everything I've heard about Ben's personal life over the years, attending a Christian rock concert with Ryan Switzer might be among the worst.

“Being a fan is fine, but there is a line you can cross that makes it really unhealthy,” said Ken Yeager, PhD, a mental health expert in the department of psychiatry at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
I agree whole hardheartedly with this assessment.
