Ice, no intent to trigger you my friend, honestly. … my point is that Ryan Kerrigan is a durable football player who has been productive at an historic level. At least, until the Football Team chose to make an infusion of youth.

What if he wants out of Washington for an outside shot at the Hall of Fame? Pittsburgh would make a lot of sense. Each of the past 3 seasons, the Steelers' defense has accumulated over 50 sacks.

Yesterday Art Rooney II acknowledged Kevin Greene as one of the best free agent signings in franchise history; James Farrior and Greene were names he mentioned. In my opinion, the Steelers have a void at the EDGE position, and Kerrigan is a player that’s not registering on everyone’s radar.
The HOF is likely too ambitious in today’s NFL for Kerrigan, he hasn’t accumulated enough big moment counting stats.

That doesn’t mean he wouldn’t excel opposite TJ Watt, collecting sacks and striking a poses.

It feels like there is enough momentum behind young Alex Highsmith that any OLB / EDGE player who were to sign on should be aware that AH is the incumbent. The market doesn’t look like it has thinned out enough yet to determine who may be a fit – if anyone.

https://sports.yahoo.com/6-reasons-why- ... 01329.html

The depth chart has bodies at CB, but a number of them do not qualify as having much field experience. Buster Skrine could be a potential slot CB addition should Sutton be viewed primarily as moving into Nelson’s position as a starter on the outside.

Safety looks to have the same questionable issues with depth as CB. With the investment into special teams ace Miles Killebrew, Sean Davis will likely sign elsewhere, since a significant part of his role is now filled. So regardless of how MK is viewed as a backup positional player (S/LB ?), safety looks thin in the field experience category, too.

Last year’s 6th Antoine Brooks saw the field some this past season, so maybe he is being counted on to make a leap.

If the price is right...absolutely.
You choose...
TJ, Highsmith, Marsh, mid/late round draft pick.

Without a doubt if the price is right. I really that give the Steelers some quality at Olb. I wonder if they are any slot Cb that worth to bring in

Are the Steelers trolling me?

2 51 TRADE: Brandon Aiyuk, WR
3 84 Hunter Nourzad, C, Penn State
3× 98 Jarvis Brownlee, Jr., CB, Florida State
4 128 Qwan'tez Stiggers, DB, Toronto Argonauts

Pretty sure this entire board liked Karl Joseph coming out of WV.

That may have had more to do with Mike Mitchell and Will Allen being the starting safeties at the time, and we were just desperate.

Ugh. Mike Mitchell is right there with Vick as the Steelers I'd like to forget ever wore the Black and Gold. Nobody celebrated a tackle 15 yards down field like mighty Mike Mitchell.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

Kerrigan has not seen much interest from teams so far. Just one visit to Cincinnati. If the Steelers were interested, it looks like an ideal buying opportunity based upon the market.

But perhaps Pittsburgh has plans to draft a young stud later this month, and wants to transition more towards youth. Still, if Kerrigan is truly a diamond in the rough player, a team which could use an OLB/EDGE should have some intrigue.
Carolina:
2.33 Payton Wilson, MLB, NC St.
2.39 Jalen McMillan, WR, Wash
3.65 Blake Corum, RB, Michigan
4.101 Audric Estimé, RB, Notre Dame
5.141 Matt Lee, C, Miami
5.142 Jalyx Hunt, Hybrid S/LB/Edge, Houston Christian
7.240 Judge Culpepper, DL, Toledo
