Time to blow up this team.....
5 minutes ago I wouldve strongly disagreed its time to blow this team up.......but....
When I guy like Cam says stuff like this......that team isnt gonna win ANYTHING important any time soon.
All of these guys are or will be vaccinated by May.....zero reason not to get back to football......when a core leader like Cam is this soft and unmotivated that is a death knell IMO
“Trust me everyone we will still get your games but why risk it??? Don’t you want your star players ready for week 1? If he can throw in the backyard he will throw on sundays too. For the ROOKIES and FREE AGENTS find your vets tell them to get you up to speed. Trust me y’all ain’t missing anything you will still get your chance to show your talent in camp when it really matters. It’s all VOLUNTARY but fellas don’t let them FEAR you in to showing up."

I would trade Cam and Watt for picks in this draft.
when you get manhandled by browns 3rd stringers in the playoffs.....and then come out with this bs.....its beyond time to go

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed to read that coming from Cam Heyward.

1st and 3rd picks for Watt and Cam could really solve some problems. Imagine:
1/24 Moehrig SS
1/? Ojulari EDGE
2/55 Stevenson RB
3/87 Moore C
3/? Christensen T
4/128 McKitty TE
4/140 Wallow ILB
6/216 Bootle CB
7/245 Jones DE
7/254 Davidson TE/Weapon

To be fair to STD Jizz, the Steelers FO has delivered a whopping 3 playoff wins over the past decade. Not exactly stellar.
I think the end result this season will be the same “standard” we’ve been getting whether they do in person offseason or virtual.
Maybe if Cam whines hard enough though he can arrange for the Browns staff to conduct virtual coaching for our team. I mean, we all saw how well they performed in a playoff game down several coaches while we had all our dunces in person.
Come to think of it, as invisible as Cam was in that game he may have been playing virtually.

Every vet in every sport would rather have more virtual meetings than having to go to the facility if possible.
Pat McAfee has talked about this in the past year.
Saying all the vets loved the off season when the league locked out the players and how all the vets enjoyed the extra time off and mostly the young guys were the only ones worried about that stuff.

last year we had a deadly pandemic and no vaccine......this year we have a vaccine.....
but to be a guy actively hyping no workouts/training in person......particularly as a guy who has never come up big when it counts.....as a team leader.......
that kinda team doesnt win the big prize

How dare someone with asthma be worried about a respiratory disease like COVID19. He is so self centered. Fuck that guy. He should only worry about the Steelers and what is good for them. I mean it is not like his family has a history with deadly disease or anything.SteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 8:49 pmnot really the point tho.......of course vets loved less work ...who wouldnt ??stillthere wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 8:42 pmEvery vet in every sport would rather have more virtual meetings than having to go to the facility if possible.

There is no guarantee that the vaccine will
a) work on Cam
b) not kill Cam
c) not have terrible consequences down the road

no there are no guarantees.....but you do have a better chance of dying from a lightening bolt than the vaccine.....despite what internet crazies say.....lol
The Steelers TRULY dont need unmotivated, come up small in big moments players like Cam....
The funny thing is Ive been a HUGE Cam fan until this bs.....probably my favorite player other than Ben and VW til now.......trade him before his value plummets......Watt too....IMO he's been infected by the malaise that seems to have overtaken this team...
This is a GREAT year to load up on picks and rebuild
If I was Colbert Cam Watt Minkah DeCastro and a few others would be gone before the draft......I think those 4 might net 1 1 3 5......id do that in a heartbeat

Lol.....I look at this way...in a deep draft we could unload alot of very questionably motivated and expensive vets and load up on alot of cheap young talent that will probably perform at least as well as the cruise control gang we have now......and very likely better given a little timestillthere wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 9:45 pmYou sound like a Browns fan.SteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 9:37 pmIf I was Colbert Cam Watt Minkah DeCastro and a few others would be gone before the draft......I think those 4 might net 1 1 3 5......id do that in a heartbeat

While I rarely agree with STD, I would definitely consider his proposal.
In fact, I mentioned trading Watt to the Texans for Watson, so he could join his brother (before the release and him signing with the Cardinals) obviously before we found out Deshaun is likely a sexual predator.
I love Watt.
I love Heyward.
We aren't winning ANYTHING anytime soon again.
Soon, this team will be a bottom feeder. A cellar dweller unless HUGE changes are made.
....and those changes are coming, no matter how many of the fellas here think Ben is still going to lead them to the promised land.
Psssst...he isn't.
If Watt gets me a few first rounders of a first rounder and several other picks, I sure as shit consider it.
Heyward and Tuitt are ALWAYS gassed by the end of each season. That is, when Tuitt isn't living on IR like usual.
I'd trade either or even both if I could.
Again...the tear down is coming, regardless.

The value of the entire offseason is extremely questionable to me. Gotta be honest. I’m sure a gradual conditioning ramp up and a single preseason game would be fine.
I mean goal line drills at Latrobe wildcats field not exactly the most glorious setting to be carted off the field for the season. I get these guys.
Also it’s far from just Cam or the Steelers. Probably the overwhelming majority opinion.
And if you think rookies are laser focused super dedicated professionals, ahhhh...
The game is going in the opposite direction in case you hadn’t noticed.

If that's your thinking, why bother doing anything at all? Why even participate in the draft? It's all for naught anyway, right?Jobu wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 10:20 pmAnd will Tomlin be coaching (and by coaching, I mean enabling) all this new, cheap young talent?SteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 10:03 pmLol.....I look at this way...in a deep draft we could unload alot of very questionably motivated and expensive vets and load up on alot of cheap young talent that will probably perform at least as well as the cruise control gang we have now......and very likely better given a little time

Not to mention the Players Association is also talking to the NFL about doing more virtual because you can still be working out but maybe living where you would want instead of in Cleveland or Pittsburgh or Denver if you are from San Diego or Mississippi and just prefer to be someplace else.yygy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 12:43 amThe value of the entire offseason is extremely questionable to me. the bottom line is this........champions in any profession dont run from the dirty work.....they embrace it and challenge others to do the same.....
Cam = 3rd Watt = 1st Tuitt = 3rd Minkah = 2nd and 4th DeCastro = 5th and 7th
Imagine a draft that looks like this:
1 Azeez Ojulari EDGE
1 Trevon Moehrig FS
2 Rhamondre Stevenson RB
2 David Moore C
3 Trill Williams CB
3 Tyree Gillespie SS
4 Garrett Wallow ILB
4 Tre McKitty TE/HB/FB
4 Rashad Weaver EDGE
5 DiCaprio Bootle CB
6 Naquan Jones DL
7 Zack Davidson TE/Weapon
7 Jalen Camp WR
7 Kevanta Moses FB
^^^^^^ THAT fixes ALOT of problems VERY cheap for the next 4-5 years at least

What a GD stupid topic.
Yeah, let's trade all our players worth a fuck. Led by the guy who drafted Dylan Moses in the first, and used a top ten pick back in the day on Maxx f'n Williams. okay.
Cam is following marching orders. Big f'n whoop.

1) I never took Maxx Williams
2) Moses was a PERFECT pick for the Raiders
3) I have ZERO respect for you as a person and even less as a student of the game. I cant think of one thing you have EVER posted I thought was worth a 2nd thought. I view your slam as a compliment coming from the likes of you
4) Cam is soft and unmotivated. Like alot of the cruise control gang we now suffer. When you get silenced in the playoffs by browns 3rd stringers who were covid restricted all week.........and then start infecting the rest of the team with your laziness......its beyond time to go......I was one who wanted to unload AB much earlier than most......we prolly coulda still got 1st for him at the time.......championships DONT EVER get won by lazy unmotivated soft leadership vacant players.....just doesnt happen
This is a DEEP draft.....we could improve alot pretty fast

Just admit you botched that one hard. But I'm sure your plan to trade Cam, Watt, Minkah, and whoever else will work out just swell.
And oh no, the board screaming idiot doesn't respect me oh golly jeepers nooo!!!!! Every topic you start on this board is a f'n disease.
And imagine trading all those players for extra picks and then not using that ammo to make a move for our next QB. Insanely, insanely stupid.

However I still view YOU as a soft headed weak hearted jackass. And there hasnt ever been any doubt in my mind about that.
Its OBVIOUS to me this team has no real winners/leaders beyond Ben and maybe a few new guys like Dotson, etc.
The core "leaders" on this team like Cam.....Minkah.....Tuitt.....DeCastro.....Watt....etc etc..... have continually come up VERY small when it counts.....publicly rousing others to embrace ......and in fact force....even less commitment to honing their craft.....sorry.....it just doesnt cut it
Other teams break rules to practice more ........we got jackasses on twitter crying to do far less.....
Im not surprised YOU think thats not a big deal however.....it certainly fits your profile
