Leighton Vander Esch?

Not sure if this has any truth to it but I can't see it making sense to spend more cap here with the lack of talent at OT and Edge depth. Nice addition IF he's healthy but that's a huge IF even if they did find the cap room.

Vander Esch was identified by StillCurtain.com (h/t Blogging The Boys) as a “perfect” trade option for the Pittsburgh Steelers — a transaction that could come together “very soon.”

Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

Doesn't he have serious neck issues? It's the offseason and I basically turn my NFL fandom off till training camp but I ...I think he's a retired/injury settlement type in the near future.
(google is my friend..lol)
OK, he had surgery and then suffered a broken collarbone..I guess it would be up to the medical professionals to decide. He was a revelation in his rookie year.
