A good Article about the Ol and Ben
Clark has really turned into a good analyst and he's enjoyable to listen to. I hope the line can build some chemistry. It's going to be tough with the talent level that's they combined with the youth. Would be nice to have one really solid vet to count on.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”
I’ll translate article…
This team isn’t winning shit of significance this year.

Good article. Thanks Steel for posting.
Another reason why the line isn’t picking up 7, could be they are too embarrassed. They are doing a mini-hari kari because they know they completely loused things up and got the qb killed, and can’t stand to make eye contact out of embarrassment, let alone extend a hand. Like a dog putting his tail down to cover his genitals Fawker.

Canada is starting to look like a Rustbelt Randy clone. I usually defer judgement on coaches being hired since I don't feel qualified to say much. I always was able to trust Dan Rooney and Cowher since they seemed to hire good to great people (even if they didn't always work out). But with Tomlin and this Rooney ? We seem to get slags who we all try to squint our eyes and reformulate them in our minds as the next Andy Reid...lol.
Tomlin does seem to hire guys who are zero threat to his position, even though his position is one of the MOST secure in pro sports. Another thing I'm resentful of. And it's only after 2 games! I might be a raving lunatic by game 4, especially if Ben goes down (after yet another full body shot) and they bring in fashion plate Cam...that will go down well with the yinzers..!! LOL

Per Banner there were "words said" about it on the sidelines after it happened and then again in the film room.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 3:17 amGood article. Thanks Steel for posting.

Of course the best answer is to protect Ben so he doesn't get crushed like that again.
Removing the ping pong tables in September: sign of panic, or necessary measure at this point? Needs to be considered at the highest levels.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
When “professionals” need to be told the obvious it tells me (1) they aren’t well coached to begin with, (2) they aren’t very bright, and (3) they simply don’t give a shit.
This is down to duh level.
It isn’t like these are 10 year olds just learning the game.

The contenders are out there fine tuning their game plans and how they are going to attack defenses and win games.
Our guys are spending time sitting in a circle being told to make sure they help their QB up after he gets planted in the turf.
What’s next? Chew with your mouth closed?

Given Jibba Jabba loves to (over) use the “varsity” high school type lingo then at this point we can say his offense is the freshman squad.
Can’t even call these guys JV yet.

Oh shit! Could this be the season Cool Shades has his streak of no losing seasons broken?

I really not impressed that the Steelers really didn’t go outside the Organization to hire either the OC or Ol coach.
