We should also include which coaches

Exactly two players on that list I'll actually miss. Says volumes about this roster. Hell, I'd add a few more if I could.tango_mike wrote: ↑Mon Nov 29, 2021 4:45 pmI’ll go with:

Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
David Cutcliffe just parted ways with Duke. There's a coach I'd give a call to.

Here is a future coaches list from September.
Scroll until you break the mouse wheel, you will not find any Steeler coaches on that list.
Did come across Larry Foote.
Hell, see if Foote is available to play ILB on Sunday.

How long did they keep Artie Burns? Jervis?
Same shit. He's not going anywhere, unfortunately. They'll keep him for the full four years and decline the fifth year option.

They might even double down on the 5th year option. The Steelers hate to admit mistakes…this would be a huge one to swallow.Professor Half Wit wrote: ↑Mon Nov 29, 2021 5:40 pmNope.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Mon Nov 29, 2021 5:31 pmI think Bush will be off this team by the end of the season!

Bush doesn't even look like he's trying and it's no secret to anybody anymore.
I agree these idiots don't normally cut players with years left on their contracts, but if Bush keeps half assing it, that very well could change.

Some players with expired contracts they will let walk
They are still going to need 53 players
They simply won’t have enough numbers to cut everyone who is subpar

If STD was running the show we wouldn’t be in this predicament.
I’m emailing Steelers Corp HQ’s as I type this
Here is my email:
Dear Steelers Organization, Mr Rooney and Staff:
There is a growing number of hardcore fans on a Steelers message forum I frequent that are upset with where we are as as a team.
The latest embarrassment, a 41-10 thrashing at the hands of the Bengals could easily been 55-3 had the Bengals not eased up.
How did we get here?
Well you overpaid for a good, not great player in TJ Watt who we refer to on the site as Low Watt.
You never developed a decent backup/heir to Ben to take over the QB position.
You shit the bed with the offensive line. Perhaps the worst line assembled in Steelers modern day history.
You traded draft capital to move up for Bush who appears to be working as a mole for other AFCN teams.
We are waiting to hear why Tuitt is MIA. We understand his loss, understand he was hurt, but as we watch the D get completely gashed each week we can’t help but wonder what is going on.
I could go on and on, but despite all the negatives, we have a personnel genius on our message board who could easily fill the void left behind when Colbert steps aside.
He lives in Amish country and is a die-hard, rabid Steelers fan who day trades penny stocks from a barn behind his farm.
We would all sign a petition for him to at the very least, be granted an interview to display firsthand his incredible knowledge of college and pro football players.
Please consider him for any organizational vacancies in the areas of scouting but especially for GM.
I go by Jizz Mop on Steeler Fury. Please message me there or contact STD directly at:

I agree 100% that Ben would an absolute fucking imbecile to even want to come back after this season with a significant rebuild on the horizon but after yesterday, I’m convinced Ben and the Steelers coaching staff are already fully aware this is his last season. Even if this year wouldn’t have ended in the complete disaster it’s headed toward becoming.blu wrote: ↑Mon Nov 29, 2021 7:59 pmWhy would Ben want to come back. How much money is enough? I was actually thinking BR doesn't really care about winning. He's an on field coach. Art and tomlin said he needs to nurture up and coming players, and he's not actually there to win.K_C_ wrote: ↑Mon Nov 29, 2021 8:07 pmI agree 100% that Ben would an absolute fucking imbecile to even want to come back after this season with a significant rebuild on the horizon but after yesterday, I’m convinced Ben and the Steelers coaching staff are already fully aware this is his last season. Nothing about his return makes sense. Unless he's a glutton for punishment.

Ben's not stupid. He wouldn't come back to this mess unless he got MAJOR money and frankly, that money needs to be spent elsewhere.COR-TEN wrote: ↑Mon Nov 29, 2021 8:21 pmI was actually thinking BR doesn't really care about winning. Not really bashing Ben, he's still the best QB on our roster but.....that ain't saying much.

You're reasoning is that Ben "doesn't want to go out this way".
What in God's name makes you think next season will be better?

I'm guessing the reason Ben returned this year was because of how ugly the CLE playoff game was and his belief that the D would be strong enough that he could get them back to the playoffs if he could just play decent QB. Just 16 days ago it looked like he had made a good bet but then we had the Mason Masterpiece against the Lions, the comeback that fell short against the Chargers and whatever the hell yesterday was and just like that it would take a miracle to even make the playoffs despite one of the weakest overall AFC fields in years.Baltostiller wrote: ↑Mon Nov 29, 2021 9:02 pmI truly believe he doesn't want to go out this way and Eddie Munster II the dumb fuck is loyal to a fault.
I agree that Ben probably doesn't want to go out with the "unleashing of Hell" that this December could easily turn into. However, in looking at the Steelers short term future roster, it's not hard to believe you will likely see another shit show next year.
Yes, he COULD return but if the team is going to be terrible again, why would you want to when it will end just as ugly or worse?
